In the book Wonder by RJ Palacio the title Wonder is a good title for the book because after reading the book for a while you wonder about a lot of things. The title relates to the story because you wonder about how August looks, what other people think and many other things. Another title I would give the book is, "Extraordinary". As you can see the title Wonder is a good title and relates to the story a lot.

There are many characters in the book Wonder by RJ Palacio. The main character of the story "Wonder" is August Pullman. He is a boy with a facial deformity who has to deal with bullying. Two traits he has are funny and brave. He is brave because he went to school knowing he would get bullied. He is funny because the story says " ....August will whisper something funny to me that no one else hears and totally make me crack up"(142). As you can see August is funny and brave.

There are many characters in the novel Wonder By RJ Palacio. My additional character is Jack. Jack is loyal and considerate. He is considerate because he tried to tell his friends something without Auggie hearing because he knew it would hurt his feelings. He is loyal because he never left Auggie alone or left out because in the story Wonder it says " Fourthly, now that I know him, I would say I actually do want to be friends with August"(143). As you can see Jack is loyal and considerate.

In the story "Wonder" by RJ Palacio there are many settings. The three most important ones are his house, school, and the field trip to Broarwood nature retreat.I think the most important setting is school. At school at the beginning August is an outcast. Towards the end of the book August is more accepted at school. At home Auggie welcome but his mom sort of treated him like a baby. At home no one thought of his face. As you can see August is treated differently in different settings.

The story "Wonder "by RJ Palacio is written in a first person point of view. This helped me understand what everyone was thinking about , and what was going on and how they were handleing it. I liked reading the book from different points of views because it made the book better than the same person talking the whole entire story. As you can see I liked reading the book from different points of views.

In the book Wonder by RJ Palacio there are many themes. My first theme is "Don`t try too hard to be cool. It always shows , and that`s uncool." This means that if you try to be cool people will notice and that looks bad. This relates to the story because Julian tried to be cool by bullying August and in the end of the book no one liked him. As you can see this theme relates to the story "Wonder"

In the book Wonder by RJ Palacio there are many themes. My second theme is "Be the person who smiles on the worst day" . This means if everything is going bad , be the person who cheers everyone up. This relates to Wonder because August just kept staying positive on bad days, like when Julian sent mean notes to August, August sent funny notes back and did not let them get to him. As you can see the theme relates to Wonder a lot.

I think the story Wonder by RJ Palacio ended in a good and bad way. It was good because it ended with a great line, "You really are a wonder Auggie. You are a wonder"(310). It is bad because it really was not anything big or exciting. If I could change the story I would have have Jack, or Summer win the award, and seeing how proud August was of them and , for him to feel like a normal boy. I think next year August will be more accepted because Julian not there and everyone knows him from last year. As you can see overall I think Wonder was was a fantastic novel.

I would rate the novel "Wonder" by RJ Palacio 5 out of 5. In the book Wonder August Pullman has a face deformity and has to deal with bullies. The book had great details and gave me a clear picture in my mind , but had a weak ending. Overall though I thought the book was great. I would recommend the book for people 10 and up. I would also recommend this book for others. As you can see overall the book "Wonder" by RJ Palacio was fantastic.
