Hello, I am Jefferson Calderon, but you can call me, Jeff. I am going to share you, a few things about myself. I am 33 years old, and I am Colombian. I speak Spanish but I can understand a little English as well. I am currently working as a soldier, and I am a student. I am studying a program in system engineering at UNAD. I am single. I like going to the gym to work out also I like bike riding and I like to speak or watch TV with my friends. 

I am from Bogota Colombia; however, I live near Abu Dhabi. I am living in an apartment with my roommate, his name is Julian. I will describe the place where I live; There is a big gym in front of my apartment, also there are other apartment blocks around. No there are trees around because there is a lot of sand. There is a small window and there is a door. I will also describe the places around my town; I live in a small area between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and I live inside a military unit. There are many apartment blocks however there are many areas of sand around. There is no park but there are two gyms also there is an internet café. There are some restaurants. There are no banks either there are no hotels, but we can go to any of the two nearby cities.      
   

Now, a little bit about my routine. I normally get up at 04:50 am, I eat breakfast at 05:30 am and then I walk to my work. I always start work at 05:50 am. I usually take a break between 9:00 am and 9:30 am. Then, I have lunch at 11:00 am and I go to work again. I walk back home at 14:30, then I take a nap for about 15 and 30 minutes. I usually start to study at 15:00. I go to my dinner at 17:30 and after my dinner, I continue studying until 23:00 or 00:00, I usually go to my bed between 23:00 and 00:00 hours. I study English three times per week. Finally, when I'm studying I usually study on weekends too because I don’t have much time during the week.

Hello, I am Jefferson Alexander Calderon Tabla. I am single. I am from Bogota – Colombia, but I live in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I am 33 years old. I am a soldier, and I am a system engineering student. I am studying at UNAD. I have many hobbies, which I like to do in my leisure time; usually, I love listening to music, watching series on TV, and playing video games on my phone or my laptop; however, I really prefer sleeping.

·        What are the main touristic places in this city/town?

In Abu Dhabi, there are many tourist places; the main ones are Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Emirates Palace, Yas Island, Ferrari World, Emirates Park Zoo, and Warner Bros World. 

 

·        What is the typical food in your city?

In the Arab Emirates, there are different types of food however the main plates of typical food are: Chabab bread, or Emirati pancake is a thin, crisp, and sweet bread that looks and feels a lot like an American pancake. And usually, they eat Samak Mashwi, which is grilled fish.

 

·        What are the main celebrations in your city?

There are three main celebrations in UAE. the UAE National Day is on December 2nd, 2022, Eid is a popular festival in the UAE and all Muslim religions, and Ramadan Is a holy celebration by Muslims, it is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. 

 

·        What activities can you do in this city?

Always can find to do things because there are many activities; for example, usually, you can go to enjoy the beaches, sometimes you can go to visit amazing parks and finally you can go on a desert safari at night, this is very amazing, I recommend it.

Efectivamente, si realicé algunas practicas debido que tengo problemas tecnicos para poder realizarlas directamente en el Ebook online, sin embargo el tutor me facilito links en los cuales pude repasar el contenido. 

¿Participé en el foro dentro de los tiempos indicados?
En cuanto a la participacion en el foro, si siempre trato en lo posible de hacerlo, pues me gusta completar los requerimientos de la guia por completo.

¿Preparé y dediqué suficiente tiempo para realizar una buena presentación oral en el video y/o en la asesoría sincrónica?
Esta vez no disponia de mucho tiempo para hacerlo.

¿Me siento más seguro de expresarme Oralmente en Inglés?
Si, cada vez me siento un poco mas seguro de esto

¿Cómo aporta este aprendizaje a mi vida personal y profesional?
Como anteriormente lo mencioné el aprendisaje de una segunda lengua es importante para todo en la vida, aunque no pertenezco a la ultima generacion, si tengo claro que para estas es muy importante el aprendisaje de una segunda lengua y en especial el ingles, debido a que es una escalera la cual puede ayudarnos a superar muchas barreras en la vida. Cualquier persona de habla hispana hoy en dia deberia hablar el ingles, pues el futuro es la globalizacion y para ello debemos aprender a comunicarnos en ingles.
