This photo is of two of our classmates, hugging. I didn’t have time to do this at lunch so it was a little rushed. I liked the lighting a little bit, and I liked just showing the back so you wouldn’t just have to focus on their facial expressions.

This photo was made on a Nikon D850 with a Tamron 24-70mm. ISO 125; focus to 26mm; aperture f6.3; shutter speed 1/200s.

I love this photo because it is a tradition we do each year with the senior class of the swimming and diving team. We take part of a practice to hang out, get some head shots for their athlete posters, and we always get a group shot, too.

This is a good photo, in my opinion, because the posing conveys closeness between the teammates, and they are close, but when you look at it there is no doubt, you might think they're best friends.

Something I would do differently in the future is work harder with my horizon lines to straighten them out and also to increase shadows and contrast during editing for more depth of field and greater visual appeal.

I took this photo on my cannon R50 with a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. The setting I used when taking this shot was a shutter speed of 1/125, the aperture at f/5.6, and the ISO at 1600.

I like this photo because it captured a group of kids that might not typically take photos together. If I could have done something differently, I wish that I had used a lower shutter speed. If I had a lower shutter speed then I could have lowered my ISO and this photo would have had a little more definition.

To take this picture I had the subjects hug, then I slightly zoomed in on them and made sure to frame them mostly in the middle.

I captured an unexpected moment between friends. I used the hallway to lead to the subjects and used portrait mode to focus on the subjects. I positioned the Samara so that the subjects were slightly off center which gives more context to the photo. In editing I lightened the exposure and increased the saturation slightly.

The subjects are 2 teachers (one is Mr Dobler, my financial teacher from last year). U can tell that they are actual bros from their facial expressions and their body language. I increased the exposure and highlights then decreased the shadows. I like it because of their expressions and how expressive they are. Also the fact they are using a gang sign.

I took this photo when I saw my friend and her friend walking around and asked them to do a cute pose. I think if I had to change anything I would either have them both looking away from the camera or have them both looking at the camera. In editing I lowered the brightness and raised the exposure slightly. I also turned up the shadows and temperature a little bit.

I took this photo with my phone of two of my friends talking at a cafe. I really like how genuine the main subject’s smile is. I put the photo in black and white because I thought it would look like a memory in time which I think is really nostalgic in a photo where there is so much emotion. I had to take these photos at home, so I wasn't able to use multiple human subjects since my brother was the only one there at the time. I took this photo when Pelle and I were eating dinner together. Vinkie (our cat) was very interested in sitting in Pelle's lap and getting a better vantage point at his food. I love the centered placement of the cat and how his curled tail draws your eye to him. Increasing the black point also allowed me to make the cat the focal point. The relaxed posture of both subjects helps create the feeling of friendship I think.
