Something that I found interesting was when the text said “I took French for six years in both high school and college. I received straight A’s in every class, every semester. I can’t speak French.” A starter question would be do you find yourself with the goal of trying to achieve A’s and b’s more than actually taking the time to learn the information that your given?

Daniel Pink talks about how students chase grades instead of learning. Do you think students would have better academic performance and motivation in school if they chased learning instead of just passing a class and then forgetting everything?

One quote that I liked was the French quote where he says he still can't speak it despite getting the best grades.

"I could cough up the third person singular subjunctive of irregular verbs on command, but if I ever found myself in Toulouse with a flat tire, I'd remain stuck on the side of the rue". I feel this type of arugument comes up in a lot discussions about schools

Found this quote really interesting

I assume in his perspective we shouldn't be getting anxious for a grade it can help in many ways perhaps the teachers and education system, make it hard for us as student's to learn cause of worrying grades.
