Following what Nektarios has written earlier, I also use Learning Diaries during the MOOCs in SEG and EUN. I used to do it in padlet walls with different sections. Then, I discovered adobe spark. Keeping notes, useful links, videos organised in different sections according to the modules, helped me afterwards to write my Learning Scenarios. So, I will do the same again, not forgeting also to hand-write any ideas or questions when I won't have access on my digital Learning Diary.

I always keep recordings of events, observations, reflections, plans… so this comes natural to me. I use different methods and formats, depending on the data I’m collecting and the purpose. I have a special notebook for seminars, conferences or workshops, for example; another one for Erasmus+ activities; yet another for school related projects/plans/meetings… I never start a project/plan without drafting its complete idea on paper, just sketches and arrows and numbers, that I keep moving around, erasing and writing all over again.

The same with all online MOOCs or courses I do – I keep digital diaries (just word docs, really, in different files) of all courses I attended so far. Sometimes I create a Padlet with all info, just to have a sort of a diagram of the activities done.

So, in what concerns this course, I believe I will do the same and keep several diaries, depending on what I’m doing at the moment. For sure I will keep my drafts on paper when I am creating my action plan. J

I am still proud of my first LD (https://padlet.com/stasele_riskien/padlet1) and often refer to it reflecting on my professional career. However, in later courses I started using Notes on my iPad/iPhone because of the two very important aspects: the search (every word is included in it) and that it travels with me whenever I change a device (it's stored on iCloud). For every course or learning event I start a new folder and all my ideas are there.

I think my diary will be a blend of both digital and hard copy. Sometimes I like to collect info on google docs when I am away from my classroom and even collect voice notes etc. Other times i prefer to make a mind map on paper. It's also handy to use video or even music to connect with an idea or thought....Whichever way we create our diaries it is important to include the different areas of the diary that need to be included such as summaries, observations, questions we have, reflections etc...

I've always taken notes about my projects, about all my activities by handwriting but for some years I have got into the habit of rearranging my notes in a digital product that is not only the documentation of that experience but a desire to put order in my thoughts, in my notes. For this experience I've chosen to use a padlet and I've already begun to use it. I've always used this tool but never as a learning diary. At the moment in this LD there are different sections such as : free thoughts-something new-notes-keywords-interesting links-Questions & answers

I use learning diaries in all the MOOCs I attend and they've proved to be very helpful. The truth is that I love hand-written learning diaries where I write down the most important information, make diagrams and maybe draw sketches. I also use digital infographics as learning diaries to organize the "highlights". I will follow the same practice for this MOOC as well.

I think it is important to keep a diary so that we can look back and reflect, as well as keep on track and get our bearings. I use a padlet or diary to keep information organised and I take notes and record facts I have collected, things I don't want to forget and what I want or should do. I need to organise myself so that I can also communicate and progress in an efficient way.
