Republic: the people vote/voice their opinions to the representatives and the representatives represent those thoughts to the legislative branches

the form of government where multiple states are formed in one unified, central government but still maintain responsibility and authority for certain things.

"The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States" - Article 1, section 2, first paragraph

The people get to vote for their representatives

"Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress" - Article 2, section 1, second paragraph

More selection of people to represent a state

'Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:—"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."' - Article 2, Section 1, bottom paragraph

The President promises to protect the people and their rights stated in the constitution

"The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court,"

"The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice-President chosen for the same Term,"

So everything that the constitution didn't say that the federal government can do, the state governments or the people do.

2. "The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." - 15th Amendment

Article 1, section 2

"The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment. " Article 1, section 2

It says that limited government is one of the most valuable type of government and that we need to maintain it. They also said that this form of government was created from thousands of years of government history that the American people learned from.

States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

This quote gives the power to the states and restricts it from the central government.
