My name is Thao Nguyen. I feel so lucky to have chance to study with you, especially at my age. I am 46 years old and a mother of two sons; one is a year 2 student at Southern California University in the U.S, another is in grade 5 at UNIS Hanoi. My husband is a businessman who runs my family’s business.
I graduated from Hanoi National Economic University in 1998. I used to work as a CFO in my company for 22 years. From 2020, I took 2 gap years for learning English at RMIT, practicing mindfulness living and looking forward to study Psychology. At that time, this course is not available at Hanoi campus.
I want to be a counseling psychologist because I really interested in understanding people and help them to release their suffering, such as tension and fear. Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh’s teaching influences me a lot. I am warned not to pursuit this career because it is challenge. So I am here with a bit nervous and looking for your support. I will contribute my experience to our community as well.

Hello everyone! My name is Linh Anh, but if you prefer to converse in the English language then I go by Alexis (Lex for short) as well. I am a newly graduated high school student from Hanoi city, who is extremely excited to join y'all on this journey of bettering ourselves through various Psychological courses.

For leisure satisfaction, I involve myself in a variety of sport activities, namely badminton, basketball and golf. I also draw and play video games for funsies! Some of my favorite video game titles are God of War, The Last of Us and the Spiderman PS4 franchise. Regarding favorite music genres, I am quite fond of Rock & Roll, as well as Indie Rock and Indie Pop. I frequently listen to and follow Twenty One Pilots, AURORA, 7UPPERCUTS and The Flob. My most listened to song on Spotify at the moment is My Own Person by Ezra Williams from the TV series Heartstopper's Official Mixtape playlist on Spotify (You can obviously tell that I am very passionate about music haha).

In terms of what I want to achieve from RMIT's Psychology major, I mainly focus on 3 areas: Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology and Health Psychology. My desired future career is to become either a clinical psychologist or a counseling psychologist, as my main drive to study Psychology is the personal fascination of the connection between the human's mind and body.

Hi everybody 🙋‍♀️

My name is Hue Anh and I’m currently majoring in Digital Marketing. Because I almost majored in Psychology, I have always been curious about what would have been if I did. Hence, I’m taking this as my GE to quench this curiosity and dip my toes into this so-called uncharted territory.

Harry Potter is my comfort series and I retake the sorting hat test every couple of years for fun. So far, the results have been mostly Ravenclaw and I think that’s probably why blue is one of my favorite colors. Regarding music, my Spotify playlist is a mixture of different genres but data has reported that Boy Pablo, Peach Tree Rascals, and DPR Live are some of my most listened artists.

Up until this moment, I have devoted most of my free time to participating in various non-profit projects and organizations so I haven’t explored my personal interests much yet. So, if you guys have any suggestions, I’m all ears. Maybe we can do these things together if you are interested. Also, the Hanoi weather is getting colder as I’m typing this, and drinking/eating something warm while getting to know each other on the campus sounds quite good to me. Hello everyone! My name's Hai Nam. I lived in Da Lat and have just moved to HCMC to start a new journey in Psychology at RMIT with all wonderful you.

I'm crazy about chess ♟️. It'd be delightful to have a chance for a game with chess lovers in our school.

I'm also writing poems 🖊️. One of my biggest dreams is to have my compositions published in a book, especially Vietnamese literature textbooks to make our future generations suffer muahahahaha. Greetings from the SGS campus here. My name is Trinh but I'd rather be called Tracy instead. I am an undergraduate and have been transferring 2 times from Business to Science/Teaching and finally landed in Psych after 2 years of wandering to find my place.

I love traveling, hanging out, making friends, and group activities, but not parties. Can be a good host of an event, though. I love reading poetries and literature but only narrow topics, mostly mental issues. I also love music and am a huge fan of Taylor Swift. I like all kinds of other arts but cannot create art.

My other hobby is observing anything and trying to analyze the information I gathered. Can make up really great ideas but never have the time to finish them. I like to think outside of the box and come up with out-of-expectation predictions, sometimes as far as sci-fi predictions, but never really get to the extreme of anything.

I am defined as an ambivert, massively outgoing with people but also can enjoy myself really well. I'm a good listener as well but never really talk to others about what I am upset at unless it's relating to them.

My name is Huong Lien, you can call me Neil as my English name. I major in Psychology and this is my third semester in RMIT but first semester on the Hanoi campus. Due to some personal reasons, I had to leave HCMC after spending 2 semesters on the SGS campus to come back to Hanoi.

I love psychology but at this time I focus the most on Developmental Psychology. I really enjoy healing myself somewhere having many trees. I care much about meditation and work-life balance. I both love and hate confusing my whole life with philosophical choices and questions to reach the final happiness.

As I know from my gene analysis, I'm half introverted and half extroverted, which means an ambivert. But I still can't find my extroverted part so you can see that it is quite hard to make friends 🥲. Psychology has been my best friend, being with me through my brightest and darkest days, and has been helping me become a lot more mature during my teenage years. So I decided to move away from my loved ones in Hanoi to the SGS campus, in order to grow and experience more, with Psychology being my companion and biggest guru in life.

I'm a big cat enthusiast, unfortunately yet to have the capability to raise one on my own. Reading, learning, writing, singing and dancing make me, while photography, fashion, traveling, Buddhism, philosophy, people and music make my life beautiful. Also hit me up if you have a book, movie, manga or anime that you want to recommend.

One trait that I'm most proud to have is my curiosity. I'm interested in everything, literally everything. So if you want to talk and discuss about something that not everyone might understand, I'd gladly to spend almost all day with you.

My name is Vanessa, and my original name is Xuan Quynh - which kinds of related to the well-known romantic poet. Hence, it somehow has influenced my hobbies - reading books and writing.

I've taken a gap year after graduating in 2020. Mostly, I felt not confident about my English abilities, specifically my writing skill. So I pursue the Ielts process, then the Advance class at the university. It could be said I'm a shy and impulsive type of person in some aspects, though I'm an ambivert.

I started my Psychological interest when I first recognized I lost my perception of identity and became self-hatred. The yearning to figure out my own issue and deal with the philosophical crisis has encouraged me to learn, as well as the possession of existential questions and the desire to help people involved with trauma.
Thorndike and Freud usually two people I referred with admiration, along with their discoveries, and quotes.

Beside from this study, I am an enthusiastic fan of " Ngot" - or " Ngot- band" :))))). Mostly because their music fit my vibes and my favorite genre- RnB, Alternative, and Soul. I also know certain Jazz' artists, such as Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald.

I also share common interests with other youth like Manga or Movie. As a Marvel fan, I do read and collect some comics. And it always makes my day.

That boy in the blue shirt doing an unceremonial v sign as he ran to the finish line in a marathon? Yes, that is me. It may look pretty funky to you but to me, it has a long story that I would like to share.
Born in Nha Trang, my upbringing was a bumpy road, to say the least, I was someone you would not expect to get far in life and have just all the checkmarks for a man doomed to fall. Fat, unmotivated, and a clump of a mental trainwreck. It did not help that some of my family members were not there to support me. But then, I realized, something must be done, I couldn't live like this and so, I began to work my best, improved myself over time and then one day, I did not know how and why I got a slot in RMIT, I couldn't even recognize myself. It was not sunshine and rainbow on this path I had gone through though, my father passed away just in this year's March from the infamous COVID, he was a man I loved but I chose to not grief, I use his death as the drive for me to move on and decided to go on a marathon as a tribute to him. 21km through even a hill, my calf was going through hell but I prevailed, I have made my family proud and marked myself as a man that has triumphed 18 years of his life.
Now my next goal? I am planning to go on the path of a human resource worker, a job where you will utilize many aspects of society in the workplace to deal with many situations involving the personality, mentality, and emotion of humans and what major is better than Psychology. Thus, I have decided to take this newly drawn, vigorous, and long road at RMIT university.

I'm Linh Tu (but many people mistake it for Tu Linh T^T). This is my first semester at RMIT, but I actually had a year of studying Psychology in the Netherlands. Although I had to return to Hanoi for some reasons, I've learned a lot during that time, and I can confirm that Psychology is a very interesting field to dive into.

I'm an authentic introvert, even when you get to know me I still won't talk much most of the time. But don't misunderstand that I'm cold, people describe me as friendly and easy-going, and I can be friends with literally anyone as long as they're the one to start a conversation (the thing that I could never do😭).

I love baking!! I started baking since I was in 5th grade. I make baked goods for my friends on special occasions or just whenever I feel like baking, so it's likely that I might randomly hand you a cookie sometimes hehe🍪. I also enjoy sleeping (I once slept 18 hours straight) and playing video games (specifically Genshin Impact).

I'm also a cat enthusiast, even though I don't have one😭 (I have lotsa cat pics in my phone though🐱).

Hello everyone, my name is Nguyen Trung Hoang(but you can call me Henry if you want - that's usually my nickname). I'll be joining with you guys in Hanoi Campus.

I'm most likely an introvert - This means when I communicate with people, I can lose a lot of energy. However, when I get used to new people and I feel safe to talk with you guys, I won't lose too much energy. Therefore, it's ok to talk to me. I'm pretty a good listener, observer, so you can talk to me about your mental health or anything that's bothering you, I can try to listen and discuss to your problems. I'm also a highly sensitive person - any types of word can sometimes trigger me some unpleasant emotions. Nevertheless, this trait actually also brings me closer to understand people's issues and sympathize with them.

My hobbies are watching films, listening to music. I usually listen to Taylor Swift, but I may sometimes listen to other artists( e.g: Ben Platt). Sometimes, my music taste also changes from us uk to japan or anime series or any types of other songs from movies :)))(For instance: sailor moon).

I first know what psychology is about when I meets my therapist. Throughout some therapy sessions, I start to understand more about myself and my mental issues, but at the same time, i feel like some how becoming a clinical psychologist might fit well with my picture about who i want to become in the future.

Hi amazing people, my name is Khoi Nguyen, but you can call me by my nickname - Pat. Psychology has been a passion for me since years and I'm really stoked to join you guys on this new journey here at RMIT.

I'm an extroverted introvert, so naturally I'm quite shy and socially anxious most of the time, and I do have some problems communicating with people I've never met before, but when you get to know me better, you'll see that I'm very much different to your first impressions!!

Like many other "zoomers", I'm very much into sports, video games and music (although I'm not able to play any instrument), in most of my free time I would just sit and vibe to some music or wind down with a gaming or football session alongside some friends. Cooking is also one of my (past?) hobbies, although to be honest nowadays I'm just too lazy to "roll into the kitchen".

I often stay up late just to enjoy the silence and peacefulness of nighttime, so I might show up sleepy or tired sometimes, but don't worry as I will always try to put in my best efforts!

Hello everyone, my name is Phương Anh, you can call me Remi or Remmie. （。＾▽＾）

This is my first year in RMIT but not my first year in university. I am a BA in English Language from the Saigon International University, and I have worked for SIU right after I graduated until I joined RMIT this Fall with you guys.

The years working in an educational environment have shown me how much I need to expand my profession for my own good, but also what the students I have been working with truly need. And that leads me to this new goal in life. As someone who have been struggling with mental and neurological health issues myself, I hope to be someone who could contribute my tiny spark to aid struggling Vietnamese youths with sincerity and integrity.

I am an introvert with extreme anxiety and ADHD (with epilepsy and chronic pains as side dishes!), which means social interactions and crowd places can tire me out quite fast, they scare me sometimes even. Outside of work and school, I am an anime/manga/game enthusiast and I also take great interests in Japanese culture. I jump hobbies all the time but my most consistent hobbies are drawing, reading, cosplaying and wasting my life and money away in gacha games Ψ(￣∀￣)Ψ I'm sure a lot of you here are also the same! I am not a sporty person but I do enjoy archery quite a bit (I'm terrible at it tho but who cares), too bad we don't have archery club yet.

Hello everyone, greeting from South Saigon. My name is Maja and I was born and raised up in Germany. I'm Mỹ Anh (Anh Nguyen on Teams calls) and I go by Mina - it's both a nickname and a stage/artist name. I'm 19 years old, I took a gap year after graduating high school to work and take care of my mental health, so I'm joining RMIT at Hanoi campus as a freshman this semester.

According to MBTI, I'm an INFP with 100% introversion. This leads to me not having my friends and sruggle to make new friends (since I'm kinda awkward and shy around strangers). I am ready to step out of my comfort zone to meet and work with new people in this course though. I spend most of my time at home, with my cats and my instruments. This kinda contradicts with the fact that the stage is like my second home - I'm an introvert but I am most confident and comfortable when performing on stage.

Music and performing arts have always been a huge part of my identity for as long as I can remember. Other than music, I also enjoy going on walks and taking random photos on my polaroid camera in my free time.

I'm super excited to start my new journey at RMIT. Looking forward to studying with you all!

Hi guys, my name is Ngọc Hân and you can call me Hanah.

I’m an introvert (80%! I was really surprised when I took the mbti test lol) and have a high turbulent percentage as well. I used to suffer because of these traits and just recently came to accept myself during my gap year at home. But I’m also grateful that thanks to my personality, I get to discover this great field called psychology and wish to become a therapist to help those like me overcome their struggles.

My hobby is exercising. I run three times a week at 10km and go bicycling every Sunday with my dad. I also practice yoga in between and aikido weekly (too bad the aikido club at RMIT is already closed). I plan to join the Salonpas marathon race next January so if anyone is interested, please contact me so we can go together 😊.

I also practice eating clean and want to take a health coaching degree alongside a therapist. My other hobbies include listening to music (an ARMY at heart 💜, any fellow ARMYs out there?) and reading manga (I prefer manga over anime, save for some mangas I really like then I will watch their anime as well), and would love to befriend with peers who share my interest.

Hi all. My name's Vu, i'll turn 19 this December. Im pretty excited to be here and meet you all.
I graduated HS in 2021 abroad and spent the next 16 whole months doing a 'gap year' exploring new things, when in reality I didn't do much. I lost pretty much all of my motivation when it comes to studying during those months, didn't know what to study for uni, so now I've decided to get off my ass and do something w my life.

Im interested in a lot of things (not saying im good at all of them tho), such as Physics, Maths, Biochem, AI, IT, Economics, History, a bit of politics, etc. And of course, Psychology. Basically, I want to know and learn how the world works, both in terms of the natural and social contexts. I like to read as well but just cannot find enough willpower to maintain a good reading/studying habit. (fingers crossed uni will help me fix that)

I've been a huge football fan since I was 5, tennis since I was 8-9, and basketball since middle school (i dont play the latter 2 tho, but I enjoy watching, analysing and discussing them w others). Other than that, I love film/cinema, however you want tocall it. And music as well, it has helped me a ton since as long as I can remember. Some say music and film are the closest things that we have to a time machine, and I couldn't agree more.

This is my first year in RMIT and I just moved to HCM 4 months ago. Hence I'm still very excited in discovering numerous of interesting activities/aspects of this city.

As an ambivert, I usually love socializing with people and searching for new experienc. I'm strongly enjoy doing workout, biking and other physical activities. (I'm in MMA club atm)
Yet, I also require some private moment after a long day staying outdoor. (that's when I would listen to music and play with my fluffy cats "D)

Regarding psychology, I hope this 4y journey will help me develop and strengthen my socializing skill, as well as becoming more mature and cherishing myself. In addition, this major is the key to become a life skill teacher, which is one of my future dream ~
