During the year 1977 the finches learned to reproduce, so they started to reproduce a lot to create more finches, but since the finches had reproduced so much over the time the finches beak started to develop within the length and depth(Shown in evidence 1). During 1976-1978 The finches have decreased this is due to the lack of food and resources,The finches had a huge drought the killed most of the finches in 1977-1978. The finches were also running out of there main food source the portulaca seed, The finches ate the portulaca seed so much that the seed ended up going extinct, this was also another main reason on why finches ended up dying.
