Judaism- Jews vs. Palestinian Muslims: The Jews had the covenant and Palestine (formally known as Israel) was the promised land. By the time the Jews went to claim the land, it was already taken over by the Palestinians so they could not have the land. Then in 1948, the Palestinian Muslims were forced to make room for the Jews, even if that meant leaving everything they ever owned. This caused the tension between the two religions.
Christian- Protestant vs. Catholic: Ireland is divided into two subsections, Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland. Northern Ireland is Protestant and is under control of Great Britain which is also Protestant. Southern Ireland is Catholic. The Catholics want all of Ireland united and in order for that to happen, Northern Ireland has to convert to Catholic and those people don't want to. So the Catholic's have made a terrorist group called the IRA (Ireland Republic Army) to unite them by using terrorism.
Islam- Sunni vs. Shi'te: In Iraq, these two sects of Muslims fight over sectarian control. This is only happening in Iraq because in other countries, either Sunni is the majority or Shi'te is the majority but here they coexist almost on an even amount.
Hinduism- Hindu vs. Pakistan: India and Pakistan (an Islamic country) have conflict over the control of Kashmir.
Buddhism- China vs. Dalai Lama: The land of Tibet was important for the Buddhist religion because that's where Buddha was during his journey on finding enlightenment. Being that Buddhism is a peaceful religion, when china told the Dalai Lama to get out, he did.
