         <description><![CDATA[<div>PUTRAJAYA: Out of the total Covid-19 cases in the country, 70% were from asymptomatic carriers, says Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.<br><br></div><div>The Health director-general said that of the total 8,674 positive cases detected in the country as of July 7,70.25% (6,092 cases) were asymptomatic while 29.75% (2,582) were symptomatic.<br><br></div><div><br></div><div>He said the high number of asymptomatic cases was detected due to the ministry's targeted screening done at, for example, areas placed under enhanced movement control order (MCO), semi-MCO and targeted MCO.<br><br></div>]]></description>
