The reason why I chose pyramid is because the main character's mom was practicing to be on "The $20,000 Pyramid" show. I chose laughing man because it’s the name of one of the main characters who laughed out loud for no particular reason. I chose sandwich shop because the main character works in a sandwich shop. I chose the word letters because someone was sending the main character mysterious letters that told of the future. In the story, Marcus punched Sal for no reason. The main character lived in an apartment for the whole entire book.

I thought “When You Reach Me” by Rebecca Stead, was really boring until I got to the middle of the book. Not much happened in the beginning of the book, just a lot of boring dialogue. But by the time I got to the middle of the book, the book got very exciting because the main character starting receiving mysterious notes which made me curious about where they came from and how they could tell the future. From there, it got even more interesting because the main character was starting to unravel who was sending the notes. I give this book a thumbs up, because overall it was a suspenseful story and then it got very exciting toward the end. I also recommend this to anyone who likes mysteries and time travel. I rate this book an eight out of ten.
