We will still have deadlines to meet every though we have NTI days! For today's assignment, every student should propose an opinion question that we could use for the underclassmen/faculty section. Example: What is your favorite school lunch and WHY? In addition, find ONE underclassmen to answer the question and post their answer on the padlet here. Be sure to include their first/last name and grade level. YOU MAY NOT USE PEOPLE IN OUR CLASS FOR THIS.

We don't have to go through tons of testing and as much stress as they do. I do think underclassmen are being prepared for other upperclassmen years, though. Some of our teachers have already taught us about the ACT format. Underclassmen have a clean slate to work off of, so they have the advantage. Upperclassmen are almost done with High School in general, they have worked the hardest. - Aubryn Lyons, 10th Grade

Question: Do you feel like there's a lot of pressure on you as an underclassman?

Answer: To a certain extent, yes. However, I believe they don't prepare students enough in 8th grade to be high schoolers. Some students looking forward to college aren't aware that their freshman and sophomore grades matter too. They think they get a pass because they are underclassmen and a bit more new to things. But depending on where you want to go, it does matter. So for that reason, I would say there is a bit more pressure when you're an underclassman because you're so used to second chances and passes in middle school.

-Delaney Jones, 10th grader
