explanation : This quote shows that Benetha is individualistic because it shows her not caring about what others say about her hair, she cut it and she wears it how she wants and she doesn't care who doesn't approve of it. Benetha was questioned about her hair, and she didn't understand why they cared so much if its her head, she got frustrated. I feel as though this represents Benetha, because she is strong, and she believes in herself, and what she does. Benetha doesn't care what people say or think,because she knows if its something she wants, she will do it. The colors of this picture are red,blue,and yellow. The colors could be showing a symbol of an any women, being herself, and doing what she wants. The mood of this picture gives off a vibe that makes women feel like they can do anything. This poem relates to my character Benetha, because it goes into explaining a phenomenal woman who has flaws, and is not perfect, but to them as long as they are happy, they are a phenomenal woman. This can relate to my character, because she doesn't believe she is the best, or perfect, and people are constantly questioning her, and not believing in her. The character Benetha goes through things in the book where she is questioned about her looks, or what she wants to do, and who she wants to be with in life. She realizes that if its something she wants shes going to do it. The quote represents the theme family because it describes how flawed a family can be, and how nobody is perfect but they all love eachother. In " A Raisin in the sun" all the characters go through trials and tribulations to get to where they are at the end of the book. The family sticks together through the hard times and they become one.
