Hobby: Travel around the world to see amazing astronomical places and artifacts. I recently visited Newgrange in Ireland. This is an astronomical site built about 5,000 years ago. My visit was absolutely amazing, but winter in Ireland was so cold!!!

Favorite food: Chili Cheese Fries from The Hat!! There is a local burger place called Tops Jr. Their Chili cheese fries is super delicious too. If you know of other chili cheese fries you recommend, I would love to hear about it! with that said, I should strive to eat more healthy. My guinea pigs, Shadow, Pancho & Pepe thinks we all should eat more lettuce and carrots!

I work full time and do online schooling full time so my schedule is always super busy. However I do enjoy traveling, going to breweries and festivals with my friends and husband, and just getting the most out of life when I can.

I love animals and have 3 cats. I'm a foodie and am always willing to try new foods and restaurants.

I love online learning, I'm grateful I've been able to do online my entire time at Mt. Sac because I'm older and have to work full time to support myself. Online learning is very easy for me because I'm an organized person and that is the key to success. Be very organized and have a calendar marked with assignments and study time.

Hello everyone, my name is Anthony, and this semester marks my last at Mt. SAC before I graduate in Business Administration and head to the University of La Verne for my bachelor's degree. I'm not too sure what I really want to concentrate my studies on but I'm thinking about finance or human resources so hopefully by the end of this semester I figure that out. Outside of academics, I enjoy hitting the gym, taking my dogs for walks, and unwinding while playing video games alongside my wife and friends. Online learning is not for everyone but I absolutely love it. In order to be successful in an online course you must have self discipline, this will help prevent you from making the work load pile up if you are not organized or on top of your schedule. In stead, take advantage of the fact that you can take these courses remotely and do it in the comfort of whatever environment you prefer best.

Although, once I were to receive my bachelor's degree I hope to attend graduate school and receive either my masters or a Phd, I'm still deciding. Going to these dance classes is something that I use as a stress reliever, I always enjoy attending them and allowing myself to really let go while I'm there. When it comes to online learning there is not one way I think in which everyone should follow, because I think it's important for students to figure out a routine for themselves that they will feel comfortable with. Though it is always important to really create a schedule for yourself, giving yourself time you want to devote for school, and time that you would use for yourself. I like to listen to music, draw, cook and bake, do craftwork, DIY, travel, etc. When it comes to online learning, I think it is really important to manage our time and make plans. Every time I have online classes, I would always try to make plans ahead of time, such as when to do what. I always like to finish the assignments that are due first, and then do the other ones that are due later. I feel like this way allows me to reduce the risk of turning in work late. Because I have work, I have to arrange the time with my work, in-person classes, and online classes. I know the importance of managing my time. For example, this semester, I have work, in-person classes, and online classes. I would go to school every Monday to Wednesday each week. I would use the times that I'm not in school to do my online assignments on Mondays to Wednesdays. Then I work on Thursdays to Saturdays. When I work, I spend all my afternoon there, which I would not be able to do other stuff. In such conditions, I chose to try to finish all my work on Monday through Wednesday and try not to leave a lot of work for my work days. Sunday is the only day I can stay at home all day, which is my chance to complete everything I need to. Anyways, this is my plan, and I think that making a plan ahead of time is helpful, especially for online classes.

I found discipline, time-management, and organization to be key to success in online learning. Keep your assignments and their due dates for the week in mind, schedule how you will complete the assignments throughout the week, and start your assignments as soon as you can. Procrastination and small excuse can make assignments feel overwhelming as the due dates come closer.

Hi! My name is Mario and it's nice to meet and read about everyone! I am a Film, TV, and Electronic Media major and plan on going to Cal State Fullerton spring 2025. I am this major since I love and enjoy film and photography and really enjoy almost every aspect of filmmaking. Currently I am taking six courses which are History 1, Japanese 62, Math 130, ASRT 5, ASTR 5L, and Bio 1 and plan on finishing my last class in the summer. Currently I work at In-N-Out and have work there for about a year and a half. I don't really have a favorite snack but I really do enjoy Japanese snacks like seaweed tempura crisps or something like shrimp chips and my favorite food is sushi. Some hobbies I have include sports like rollerblading, basketball, mountain biking, skateboarding, golfing, and bowling. And other things I do for fun are like hanging out with friends, long drives, mixing and doing looping sessions with instruments and software, and photography. I think for me personally the best way to achieve success in online learning courses is always staying on top of work and doing it quick rather than later. I also feel making a schedule for your work helps very much and helps to prevent procrastinating. Also being in an environment that doesn't have too much distractions and can allow you to do your work peacefully. I have never really done a planner for my week and have started to make one lately for my work and school schedules and have found that week planners really do help with organizing my time and making the best use out of my time. So I think that for this semester for me with all the courses that I am doing having a weekly planner will be very beneficial for me in my time management.

SAC, and last year I switched from radiology to math because I felt that math seemed like a better direction for me. Last semester, I learned a lot about American history in sociology, and what I learned about colonization, immigration, and race helped pique my interest in learning more about history and learning more about American culture through history! As a math-oriented major, math classes are essential to me, and learning math is really fun. On top of that, I really enjoy singing and listening to songs, and it's a really good release for the stress of the usual heavy study load. I have a ragdoll cat that gives me a lot of companionship and comforting cuddles from time to time when I feel the pressure of studying. Online classes give us a free schedule, and I think the key to success is checking email on time and reading last night's syllabus ahead of time in order to have plenty of time to work on it. I also used to look at the stars and the Milky Way with the naked eye when I went camping in Joshua and Borrego. My understanding of online courses is that you need to pace yourself and adjust your study schedule according to the progress of the course in real time, understand and analyze the content of the course and get your questions answered in a timely manner through various means. BTW I enjoyed the spacex rocket launches I saw earlier near Vandenberg and San Luis Obispo, and the meteor shower at Joshua Park.

Hello everyone! My name is Michelle and my major is marketing although recently I have been thinking of changing it to business. I want to transfer abroad to finish the rest of my schooling. I think it would be a great experience and give me a different perspective. I love travel and am so fascinated with the fact of how big the world is so why would I not want to discover it. I used to be a student at a university but due to some unfortunate events i have to withdraw (for about a year and a half) and didn't go back to school until January of last year. It was one of the best choices I ever made. I really enjoy art although I am not very good at making it I am great at admiring it. I am a fan of all types of music except for country music, I have yet to acquire that music taste. I love trying different types of coffee, currently my favorite is cafe de olla, it is a Mexican coffee that has cinnamon and brown sugar. As of right now I speak English and Spanish but I am hoping to pick up other languages, I was taking Japanese classes but I had to put a pause on them for now. The key to be successful in an online class is time management. Most of my classes have been online and if I didn't plan out when I would have my assignments done then I would regret it.

I am finishing up the last of my GE requirements, which is this lab and a biology course, and I am also taking one child development course as well. I work as a math instructional support aide and my goal is to eventually become a special education teacher. Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I believe the key to being successful in online/distance learning is just being consistent and setting a schedule for yourself. I personally use Mondays to review and go over all my work for the week and then I divide up all of my courses into days so that I do not overwork or burn myself out. Luckily, most of my courses have had differing due dates so I can use each day to focus on each course individually. That way I am as successful as I can be not just in one course, but in all of my courses.

Hello everyone! My name is Mary. My major is early childhood education. This is my last year here finally at mtsac. I will be graduating in June! I plan on transferring to Cal Poly to work on my BA. I used to work here on campus at the child development center as an infant/toddler teacher I was there for about 8 years. I am now an early head start home visitor. been here for about 6 months now and it's a very different change from being in a classroom. My long-term goal is to become a school counselor in elementary level. I am a mother of two as you can see from the picture my son and daughter. besides from this class I am take a math, English and the other part of this class, as well as two other child development class. Outside of work and school I enjoy spending time with my family, we do lots of camping, doing things as a family. some of my hobbies include reading, bingo, watching movies. one key to success in an online learning class is to prioritize your time, trust me I take a lot of online classes because it does help with my busy schedule. Don't waste till the last minute something is due trust me something always happens and then you don't have time. well good luck to everyone this semester! Hi class. My name is Priscilla and my pronouns are she/her. I am pursuing an associates in Behavioral & Social Sciences in Mt Sac. I was originally pursuing nursing but have changed my interests and would like to get into Optometry. Unfortunately Mt Sac doesn't offer anything like that so I'm just trying to get whatever degree I can with all the classes I've taken so it's not like I wasted 4 years at this school for a field I no longer have interest in. I plan to do online schooling for optometry since in person classes are proving hard to get to since I work 35 hours a week. I am a kitchen manager at chipotle. Not my preferred place of work but the position helps pay for my bills. A strategy I have for successful online learning is to treat it as a regular class. I do sometimes find online classes difficult because I benefit more from listening to a lecture and taking notes, but you can do the same thing for online classes. Instead of just reading the material, write notes so you retain the information more. Writing tends to keep my mind stimulated compared to just listening/reading something, I'd tend to zone out.I love animals, I have 4 cats and two dogs. They were all strays that we rescued and couldn't find homes for and we didn't have the heart to leave them in the streets so we kept them. In the photo is my youngest cat, he is 2 years old and his name is Milo.

I am currently an ABA therapist for kids with autism or on the spectrum. My plan for success in this online course is to take advantage of my free time. I have been trying to spend less time on social media in order to avoid distractions and dedicate my breaks and evening to catching up on school work. I made sure that I would have most of my evenings free this semester after work to dedicate to my homework and assignments. My goal is to not fall behind because it messes up with my whole school schedule. I do not want to make it a habit to submit assignments late. Staying on track is my main goal.

Hiii! My name is Kristina Gutierrez, but everyone calls me Kristy (she/her). I am currently double majoring in History (AA-T) & Liberal Arts: Social Behavior Sciences (AA), and will be applying to Cal State Fullerton & Cal Poly this October to transfer in the Fall 2026. This semester I am only taking 2 classes: Hist. 4 & Astr 8 just to take care of my mental health. I have been working at a independent studies high school as a center coordinator for 4 years and love it. When I'm not in school or at work, I am playing video games, catching up on shows, playing D&D, and having Sunday brunch with my three best friends. One strategy to being successful in an online class is to create a schedule of when I will be doing lectures/notes and what assignments I need to complete on time.
