Antonio Cruz and Felix Vargas were two close friends almost like brothers.

Things started falling between them as they had a big boxing match between them in a week . they both wanted to be the champion of the lightweight boxing tournament but there had to be only one winner.

As the 3rd round approached, there were barrages of punches of both of them. Even when the round was over they both were past hearing and hence cold water had to be poured on them to separate them from each other. when they were finally pried apart, the score was about to be announced.

When the winner of the match was about to be declared, the announcer found himself alone while the champions had already left the ring because they both knew that= FRIENDSHIP>COMPETITION

This story is about two friends who had to fight to win the boxing match. One was Antonio Cruz and other was Felix Vargas. They were basically like brothers. Once they had to fight in the ultimate boxing match. The winner was getting the prize. They both practised alot. On the match day they both were like complete strangers. Amigo was doing great but then suddenly Felix did the great shot , everyone was shocked. Amigo was furious that he didn't let Felix fight. At last the winner was being announced but till that time both left the place.

They both wanted to keep their relationship alive but also wanted to won the Championship and represent the Boys Club. In this story, the two friends will battle each other in the boxing ring. Antonio has long hairs and husky. Felix has the short hairs and he was very strong. one day, they both were running and stop for a while. they both deal and decide to meet in the battle. they try not to think about each other. after 1st and 2nd battle ,as 3rd round came , Felix fight like a stranger and Tony was thinking about friendship. the 3rd end and the winner was about to announce and they both left the ring. they don't even listen the winner. they care of friendship not the winner. friendship is important than the winner.

Amigo Brothers is a short story on two seventeen year-old boys , Antonio Cruz and Felix Vargas.

they both grew in the same neighbourhood

that they were more like brothers. they both have a dream to become lightweight boxing champion of the world someday but they both got selected for The Golden Gloves Championship Tournament. Now they have to make a difficult choice between their friendship and the competition and they decided not to see each other till the day of fight. On the final day the two 'brothers' fight round after round but ignoring the final bell, the boys walked out of the ring, arm in arm before the winner is anounced.

The Amigo brothers is a short story set in New York. There were two friends Antonio Cruz and Felix Vargas, they were almost like brother. Both had a dream of becoming a lightweight boxing champion of the world. There was a boxing tournament in which the winner would represent the Boys club in the Golden Gloves tournament. After eliminations, they both had to fight to each other.

When they were running as usual the Felix stop and they both made a decision, till the fighting they both will not meet each other.

In the first round, the Antonio punched him in his nose.

In the second round, the Felix punched Antonio in his chin.

In the third round, there had to be only one winner, Antonio or Felix.

But as the result was coming they both left the ring without hearing the result.

They don't care about the winner but they care about the friendship.

Amigo brothers is a short story set in New York, it is influenced by Puerto Rican culture. two friend that were 2 seventeen-year old boys one was Felix vegas and the second was Antonio cruz, they were like brothers.They had the same dream that was being a champion at lightweight boxing champion of the world but their dream had some demands like fighting each other now they have to make a choice between their friendship or their dream. This decision separated them because they needed to fight each other at golden gloves champion tournament, so they started to do their training separately, but at the day of the fight they walked after the match is over they didn't cared about the final bell they walked out armed-in-armed before the winner is announced, they realised that their friendship is important than any competition.In our lives we have to make these choices but we need to remember that friendship is important than any competition

Antonio Cruz and Felix Vargas were both friends. They grow up in the same neighbourhood and they know each other since childhood. they both have a dream of becoming the lightweight boxing championship. Early each morning, they ran along with handkerchiefs and short towels around the neck and handkerchiefs around foreheads. They were amigos(friends)and when their names come in the final list so before final boxing match, they just meet each other and their thoughts that were roaming in their mind was the same thing that they have to share something with each other. But, they were just said to each that they will not meet each other until when their final round complete the boxing. The large posters were pasted around the neighbourhood. But in the final they were both friends and their trainers were giving advice to each other to win the final round but they knew that the friendship is the best thing rather than competition. When the third round began and the announcer was announcing the winner but the two brothers went from the ring. In this story, we got the moral thing is (Friendship > Competition)

In "Amigo brothers" the two main characters are Antonio Cruz and Felix Vargas. they are both 17 years old. they know each other since childhood.

Antonio was fair, lean and lanky. Felix was dark, short and husky. Their passion is same, boxing.

they both have been selected for golden gloves tournament. They have to face each other. So, both made a decision of not meeting till the day of fight and pretending unknown in the ring.

In evening, Antonio went on the roof trying not to think about Felix. While Felix was watching the movie 'The Champion' 3rd time.

On the day of fight, large poster were pasted. Antonio fan's had full faith in his boxing skills, whereas Felix admirers counted on his dynamite packed- fist.

In the first round, Antonio slipped the punch and countered with a blow that sent Felix's head reeling back.

Antonio's trainer said "Felix always goes for the body" and Felix's trainer said "Get in their or he is going to chop you up from way back".

In round two light suddenly exploded inside Felix's head a Antonio slipped a blow and hit him under his chin.

In the 3rd round, everyone knew that this was the point where the winner will be decided. Both the fighters didn't gave an inch. The referee was stunned by their savagery.

Then wen the announcer was announcing the result, they both had left the ring.

The results didn't matter they were champions to themselves.
