This assisted to make the texts appear more professional. By using this software I was able to directly manipulate certain images. For example, through extensive editing, I was able to make the main images of the print texts appear more artistic. This was achieved through using the filter tool, such as brush stroke and accented edge. We also made effective use of lighting, so that there was a clear contrast of light reflected on the model’s face. This then worked well in creating silhouette styled main image for the magazine ad and CD back. This matches modern rap conventions, as many artists associate themselves with this type of creativity in their print advertisement. Also, because I took on the main role as the editor of the ancillary texts, I had full control and opportunity to use use most of the tools. This includes tools, such as the magic wand, transformation tool and overlapping frame tool. All in which enchanced the appearance of the print texts. In one case, for the CD cover,  the J.Cole font had an overlay of a statue image, along with a colour tint of red. This technology was a new for the group and me. Thus, it is important that we had practice using this software, as in previous times I would use iMovie. Hence, for the preliminary task, we were able to practice using Final Cut Pro.  However, for the main music video, James was the main editor. Thus, I provided additional help, by giving James an overview of what I thought of the video, then directly intervening in the editing. Also, through this tool, we were able to use SFX to manipulate colour and transitions. As majority of music video are distributed through YouTube, as this is easily accessed by the target audience. Also, for the ancillary text, I used the YouTube logo and other social websites, as a way to apply media convergence. This ensured that our campaign was most successful because we are matching the needs of consumers in the digital age. From Michael Wesch perspective, YouTube is a cultural phenomenon: where the value of YouTube is being acknowledged with the availability and access to resources. This camera provided high quality images, as opposed to using a standard camera. One of feature of this camera was the eye scope, which allow for precision camerawork. Along with the touch screen display that meant that it was easy to playback footage. One criticism of the prelim was the over use of handheld camerawork that appeared shaky. Thus, the strap on the camera allow for steadier handheld camerawork. Also, we wanted a minority of shots to use zooms. Hence, the toggle and lens zoom allow us to gain controlled and quick zooms, that appear most professional. This enabled us to obtain static shots and panning shots of the building and the star. This was achieved through the use of the dial which allowed for resistance. This meant that each shot was controlled and that our use of a whip pan or quick tilt would not appear shaky.
