She mentions movement, perception, displacement and transformation viewed within her work. The perception of colours displayed through a rather geometrical spectar of colors, movement shown through a moving image accompanied by sound. As well as an appearence of the ready made, where a mirror cut in half represents displacement. She also mentions that she’s not a fan of finished work, rather then a work of process. As for the promotional identity of the exhibititon, we’ve only learnt about this exhibition through a website. Every room is filled and categorized within a sistematical approach of a project. 
As a reference we used Cream 3: Phaidon  where we’ve compared an exhibition of Angela Burroch to the exhibition we have seen in person.

Researching through old students projects and viewing  the past identity and visual languages it posses ended up being  useful. The mere image of the school, as well as the building shows up quite a lot during old publications. Display of student work is more or less shown as well. Architecture is quite dominant.  The last few summer show promotional material evolves to much more colour usage , as well as abstract concept and art. There is much more liveliness brought to the summer show collection of promotional posters, it represent the should as whole with the usage of illustrations, animations, design and architecture. 
As our main project revolves around the Cass Summer Show, it is only right to look into the history of the Cass School of Arts, Architecture and Design in order to conceptualise the identity  we intend to portray in our Summer Show pitch. The history of the school starts ruffly 150 years ago and relies heavily on the Art and Crafts programme within a particular university, which later develops into a rather big number of schools, one of them being the famous School of Furniture and Design. Apart from being quite an uncommon course, as furniture design isn’t
instigated or practices in many places, I found it being an utterly interesting start of our research. As the identity and theme could represent history of the school itself. It could play a crutial part of our Summer Cass Show concept, wether we decide to look into the history of the building is still debatable. I immediatelly though of Bauhaus as an irreplaceable and unskippable part of design history itself. The furniture exhibitied in the Wash House slightly remind of the famous Wassily Chair designed in 1925 at Bauhaus by Marcel Breuer.

A. Interview one
1) I have studied textiles and Art and Design at GCSE, textile, photography, Foundation diploma
in art and design, specialising in visual communication. I live in Rochester, Kent and have done all
my studies here.
2) Textiles Design BA
3) I chose to study at the Cass because I had heard great reviews from my previous tutors. The
open day gave me a feel for the place and I felt confident talking to the tutors that the course was
right for me. I liked the never ending possibility to explore textiles through different avenues.
4) At first it didn’t, thought I had already learned what we covered in the first year from A levels. As
years have progressed, I have and continue to learn more about how to refine my practice and
identify and work with my style.
B. Interview 2
1) I studied textiles at both A-level and GCSE. I currently live in Essex and commute to university.
2) Textile Design BA
3) I chose to study at the Cass because it could open doors to both interiors and fashion within
the industry. What stood out to me was the course leader who seemed to know exactly what he
was talking about and liked that I would be taught allot.
4) It has and I love the range of facilities which has enabled me to take my style and practice
further to what I expected.
C. Interview 3
1) Im from South London
2) I study Textile Design
3) I chose to study at the Cass because I liked how diverse the university is in the different types
of people that study there. I also liked the location and the fact that it is near to Brick Lane which
has plenty of street art around and the fact that there are lots of galleries that surround the
university. I feel inspired everyday commuting into the Cass by its surroundings.
4) My course lived up to expectations in which I love the wide range of facilities that are available

The simplistic and minimalistic approach these photograph exude its quite educational. The colour red, as the colour of passion,  dynamic, force, authority play well within our concept. We do feel the need to emphasize the used of the colour red as a visual identity, that ties back to the history of Sir John Cass, the man the school's named after. The black and white imagery may have been our first idea as we are representing the history of the school, so Alexey's photographs grasp an visual part we are also trying to reach throughout  our testing and development. There is dose of playfulness within these imagery, based on architectural; outlines of the building, as well as seriousness with the colour tone, as it is mostly black and white with the exaction of the linear illustration. The line is an important part of any kind of practice where it is the design, architecture or art. It's been and will away be the most important element of any creative skill and discipline. The series of unfinished, minimalistic, quite linear and abstract design and artwork give out a dynamic  feeling. It is heavily typography based, and the focal point is movement. It is a collection of very old work done by her, so many of the work lacks colour. Based around asymmetrical and geometrical shapes, it develops further from the linear idea we've been trying to show previously. The usage of shapes as our promotional components is quite popular and can be made by a variety or different processes. We are contemplating the illustration of different 3D shaped that are featured on the poster as we ll as the print invite. She is berer of lots of colours, ilumnations lights and 4 d shapes. It is a exhibion of the ready made, a very famous concpet within the world of the contemporry art. The collection of pixel blocks sculptures (relevant to graphic design or any other  modern day creative  discipline), electronics, lights and plastic broadcasts a sense modernism. To me it represent the future of both design and art, the usage of sustainable items, solar energy, luminescence  colours and an myriad of futuristic ideas. The concept of the exhibition and the exhibition itself are connected on some level because the pieces have fit perfectly into the space as they are essentially met to exist there and only there. This exhibition for me is scream the future, and is something I would assume the young population would  be interested to see. Upon our meeting we've decided on a subtle colour palette; red and baby blue with the exemptions  of  typography written in either black or blue.
History of the School:

Committee for Baths for the Labouring Classes’ was formed in October 1844 as a result of a high profile public meeting organised to address the issue. The group, based in London and made up of notable citizens, aimed to improve the sanitary conditions of the poor through the construction of publically accessible washing facilities.

Depicted through black and white imagery and its architectural structure, we’ve intended to pursuit an aquatic based typography of our creation made through the Illustrator software. Our poster design will heavily pay homage to the industrial structure of the Cass building, once again illustrated and designed through a system of linear element (linear design). Depicting both the building’s exterior in an architectural manner, as well as the interior elements such as drain pipes. Inspired by Wes Anderson’s Swimming Pool series, the school’s own history of once being a public pool and washhouse, it generated our idea of the usage of the colour blue. We plan to emphasise the colour red to signify Sir John Cass, himself. We also, plan on using a riso printer, or screen printing to communicate the water based texture our print invites will display. Since our target audience is a variety of young intellectuals and practitioners, we’ve intent to deepen our concept to thoroughly portray the essence and feeling our school exudes and inspires, both through its past and its contemporary present.

Sometimes when opened in ISSUU it takes time for the typeface to be recognized. I actually contemplated making my manifesto into zine and having it printed as a zine, however, due to the circumstances, it ended up being a digital pdf. I also considered doing the Manifesto solely black and white with instances of colour such as pink or red printed on a Riso, I picked out a rosé coloured paper that would also look nice with black riso ink. I liked how the imagery on the publication below has that rasterized image. Also, this was the format I wanted to use, where the Manifesto would open as a pamphlet, printed on rosé, paper. This is an Enterior Design Publication, made about the buildings in Moscow. It is also printed in Cyrillic, which I found interesting as I can read Cyrillic. I also like the detail where the pink text is overlaying the front cover.

I like this portfolio cause of its background, having it all in black, which is very interesting. Also having scans inside the portfolio not Mockups is also something I've found to be a good decision. It gives it a 2D (flat) perspective when the portfolio is printed.
