But they do know that people with bipolar disorder tend to have schizophrenia. Scientists have a theory that the bipolar disorder can also be triggered by the persons environment.   • It seems that bipolar is most common anywhere between 14 and 40.  Leaving bipolar to affect the most possibly healthy humans.

More than 5 million Americans suffer from the disorder. Singer Demi Lovato was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when she entered rehab at age 22. Before her diagnosis she had struggled with bulimia, drug addiction and cutting.

    She has chosen to use her fame to help eliminate the stigma and advocate for treatment, taking part in a campaign called "Be Vocal: Speak Up for Mental Health" in 2015.
