Description: This piece is inspired by one of my favorite phenomena. At dusk and at dawn, if you look up, you can see all or the crows in the region returning to a shared roost. At dawn, you see them head back out in the world, as far as 40 miles away.  In my area, the crows always head to someplace southwest and if you look up at the right time, the sky is filled with them. It only lasts 5-10 minutes and it's magical. I am comforted by the idea of heading out to do our work collecting shiny objects and gathering food, but then being able to return home, to a safe space for rest.

Praise to the moon, bright queen of the skies,

Jewel of the black night, the light of our eyes,

Yes, this is ironic – beautiful nature, but on a screen. But if it inspires people to get out and experience the real thing, then it’s done its job.
