After hearing the song a few times it left me with a detailed depiction in my mind of what the lives of happy couples who lived during the Vietnam War truly looked like. For example the moving lyrics "There is fighting that will break us up again, Goodbye my darling, hello Vietnam" gives the listener a feel for what couples during this time had to go through.

This selection of songs that I chose cover the lifestyle, personal point of view, and the hardship that these song writers went through. This assignment has given me a greater perspective of how people truly felt during The Vietnam War through music. These musical pieces will forever be a historical treasure.
