I enrolled at the UNIC at 28th,September. That was my first time to visit here and everything for me was fresh, new teachers, new classmates, new environment , and new country. I realized that I need to adapt to here as soon as possible.

Last Thursday was my first time to attend the Interactive Learning Skills and Communication. It was active and the knowledge is useful for us to do further study, especially for students who never studied in UK before. It can help us to know how to study here step by step and using some skills during the study, such as scanning. Except the knowledge, I think the method of taking course is also important. Group discussion is the main method. Exchanging idea is a good way to help us understand the knowledge effectively.

For future, I am going to study International Banking and Finance for my postgraduate. It is familiar field for me because I have two years working experience about it. Also, I tend to do this kind of work after I finish the postgraduate.

Summary:
This research demonstrates that switching costs are a multi-faceted construct in business-to-business settings. It includes procedural, financial, and relational switching costs. In particular, the relational switching costs is the most important factor for securing B2B buyer-seller relationships. And the procedural switching costs only influences share-of-wallet. The last one ,financial switching costs, is impacts customer’s cross-buying behavior.

Reference:Securing business-to-business relationships: The impact of switching costs

Summary:

This lecturer is talking about practical diversity. She gives her experience to indicate the reason why she wants to practice diversity. Discrimination still exists even when you are in workplace, it includes race, gender, age, religion and so on. Furthermore, the lecturer takes some facts as examples to describe this problem in life nowadays and comes up with three principles that can instruct people how to treat other people. Be kind, be respectful, be compassionate.

Critical evaluation:

Discrimination is a problem which still exists in people’s daily life. The lecturer wants to change this phenomenon with practices that involve diversity. As she says” I would have treated everybody equally”. In that case, it will be more comfortable for people who are often treated unfairly. But on the other hand, how do we identify the people who are discriminated by others? We can think about color, gender, disabilities etc. However, taking these aspects as weakness is also a kind of discrimination. To sum up, practical diversity not only has a good effect but also has some difficulties in implementation.

Well done.
However, you have not really evaluated the event, nor wrote an action plan.
Refer to the attached document (also available on Moodle) for the required structure.
