I believe that a whole system on facial recognition should not be used for only a few cases where you need to know someone due to something bad they did.

What do I think about the facial Recognition software. That its not really a problem because we are still being watched by other people so there's really no privacy anyway. This also helps the police and FBI catch and find suspects that could have done something. Portraits and The Baroque Era, I have really no Idea that it would go with such modern software because portraits are self-made.

Facial recognition is a very intelligent way of seeing everything about a person. The FBI is beginning to use facial recognition software on investigations and identification. Although this is/ will be a great tool for the FBI, it is scary that if someone were to hack their system, they could know everything about a person. They could even know what they look like.

This is becoming reality as well; Apple's iPhone X can be unlocked with facial recognition. I think that this can eventually become a very big problem though. I don't think that this is close to the portraits from the Baroque and Dutch era because portraits are made by the individual themselves, which is not an invasion of privacy since you can't invade your own privacy.

This new software has been put to use by apple with their new iPhone and other tech companies. But I do believe that it can be used for good like solving crimes for the federal government agencies like the FBI or CIA. But this also feels like an invasion of privacy for many people. This facial recognition is no where close to the portraits in the Baroque and Dutch eras.

In the future for the millions of people who will soon depend on face recognition to check their email, send a text, or make a call, it will be quick and easy to use. But as we grow accustomed to fast and accurate face recognition, we cannot become complacent to the serious privacy risks it often poses. Face recognition is already used around the world to examine, investigate, and monitor. Facial recognition is not similar to the portraits in the Baroque and Dutch eras.

A good use for it is how apple integrated it into using it as our passwords for our phones and other items. Although, the thought is good people could possibly access or use our faces without us knowing creating big problems. Lastly, I don't think this is similar to portraits in the Baroque and Dutch eras at all.

I think that facial recognition is a very cool idea and can be very helpful in some situations, but overall, I feel like it has more negatives than positives. The only positive I can think of that comes from this is that it will be an increase of security so that normal people cannot get into your stuff. It has more negatives however; because if someone were to hack your phone or computer with a camera on it, they would be able to spy on what you are doing, and the government would also have access to that as well. Basically I am saying that your private life would be more at risk if facial recognition starts to become more and more popular.

I think it could be good for many different reasons such as if you got rob then you could have something to look at to see the person who did it. I also think its bad because it could be weird like "facebook watching us" it could freak people out and could cause something dangerous. I think it could be weird but still something good to use.

I think facial recognition technology is very reliable, but sometimes weak in the privacy aspect for users. Facial technology is beneficial for companies to easily acquire more personal information about users, and also beneficial to customers so they don't have to essentially waste their time relying on that information. Facial recognition is an innovative way to get an X-ray of a person's identity, which is something that hasn't been available forever. This form of technology has become so advanced, users' faces can still be recognized if they've changed their hair, grown a beard, or put on glasses. Hopefully the privacy concerns are managed to allow facial recognition to continue advancing.
