Mrs. Flowers gave her books and taught her poetry. She also told her she had the right to speak and that she needed to speak. I think that many become were very helpful and inspirational in her life. I think that Mrs. Flowers, Momma, Daddy Clidell, and Bailey all had a huge impact on Maya.

She had lots of fun with him and she admired him.
