My school recently had a European etwinning award, however it still has few teachers developing projects. The school's goals are to increase the number of etwinning and Erasmus+ projects, as it is an asset to the entire educational community, with the main protagonists being the students.

At the moment the school is in the process of drawing up a new project. However, there are several ideals from the previous matrix and practices that I will highlight here as I identify with them.
Values: humanistic, solidarity and respect for difference
There is also a strong commitment to the environment. We are a school that promotes ecological campaigns and practices: litter collection; use of recyclable objects, etc.
There is a growing effort to create different learning spaces in order to meet the competences required from a citizen of the 21st century.
About eTwinning projects, the school is increasingly committed to build bridges and develop collaborative work with teachers and students from other countries. It is embracing the eTwinning values. There is a small action plan but it is not yet felt as a school plan. I think we are on the right way but we need to develop broader actions in order to have more impact in the school: training actions on eTwinning, working the curriculum through eTwinning projects, creating diversified learning spaces through eTwinning.

In this course IES Antonio Machado is participating in its second eTwinning project. Last year it partipated first time with "FRANKestein" project with partners fron Italy and Spain. This year we are working with two proyects: students and colleagues from Bulgaria, France, Italy and Spain. In this High School we created our "Rincón eTwinning" where we are showing job development. The values that we are working on these projects are respect for difference, solidarity,peace and ecology. The methodology of theses projects is very innovative and their activities are interesting and creatives.

I believe that nowadays the way we see and think about school is very important. Schools that participate in international projects cultivate innovative practices and promote collaboration and self-assessment among teachers. Teachers working in innovative schools share more of their eTwinning practices with other school members. This is a good practice that I would like all schools to adapt, no matter how innovative they are. The best way to get the most out of eTwinning is to make schoolmates get involved and understand that developing collaborative work has much more impact on students, it is difficult to get them to understand this and “open” their window for sharing, collaboration and teamwork.The hard part is getting others to understand the advantages of cooperation!

My school is introducing eTwinning projects in almost all the levels. Last year we started with a project in the kindergarden (3-6) and with 1st ESO( 12-13) and we got National and European quality label in both projects. In Gil Vicente school, we try to promote European values and develop European identity. The theme of the Educational Project, TOGETHER THINKING ABOUT THE FUTURE, reinforces the continuity of a work that has been developed over recent years, involving all agents of the educational community, in fulfilling the commitments of the Portuguese public school. The problem is that my students have difficulties in expressing themselves using the English language and they lack digital resources and knowledge, and they also have difficulty in concentrating and in following rules… Is there a project that suits them? I really need help and to be somehow inspired 😉

My school's is already an e-twinning scholl and our main goals are: student success, reduction of school drop-outs and inclusive schooling.
As an etwinner, i think the school have to favour sutdents autonomy, enhancing their best capacities. Making the best use of resources. Investment in new resources, pedagogical or technological. Planning and diversifying activities. Involving the community. Formulate a strategic, positive and motivating vision. Innovate, whenever possible. Open the school to the community.
The philosofy is to reinforces the continuity of a work that has been developed over recent years, involving all agents of the educational community.
We are doing our best to improve the learning of our students and the comprehention of each individual as an active, responsible and conscious participant in society.

We are already an etwinning school with several recognized projects. Interdisciplinary projects have involved students of different age groups and several teachers and have promoted different skills, both curricular and transversal, such as the promotion of active citizenship.
We are also an Erasmus+ accredited school. We have the eSafety Label. This is a recognition of promotion and certify digital security practices and policies and access to digital technologies, in a safe and enriching environment, as part of the teaching and learning experience.

My school is an eTwinning school for some time now and its values and its vision is alligned with a developing and sharing vision centered on the learning of all students – inclusion and multiculturalism - in creating and supporting continuous learning opportunities for all - quality and career-long opportunities and also ollaborative learning amongst all staff - teachers work and learn together (we have one hour a week for collaborative work and also created a forum in our Microsoft Teams to work together, share practices, discuss frameworks and topics, experiment with new ideas and practices, help each other and also to produce learning outcome evaluation and assessment for learning.
