This is summary of Chapter Wednesday.
Please find all mistakes here.

Keycase decided to rob rooms at night. In the first room a guest woke up and Keycase had to say that he was one of the room service. In the second room he was lucky to steal some cash, valuable papers and a watch. On the way to his motel he saw the Duchess and realized that stealing her jewels would be a treasure hunt. He pretended he had busy hands and managed to take keys of the Presidential Suite. He made a duplicate and by accident dropped the key into the elevator shaft.

Peter was involved into the mess with Dentestry Convention. He finally agreed to give a room to Negro dentist, but Mr Trent protested. Mr Trent was sure that convention wouldn't move out.

Dutchess gave Ogilvie 5 000 USD in return to drive the car to the north states. The Duke also gave him a note permitting to take the car from a garage. Ogilvie wiped blood from the car and fixed its headlight.

Mr O'Keefe found another girl and wanted to dismiss Dodo. It left her desperate.

Mr Trent called to Washington to suggest a deal to the member of the Union. H immediately agreed and sent his people to check the financial state of St Gregory.

Mr Trent fired his friend Earlshore. When leaving he said that Mr Trent was a good employer and he regretted to leave the place.

Albert Wells asked Christine to dine with him in a fashionable place.

Week 3. Reviews.

Here are the reviews of the book. Please read them and post your comment - which one do you agree with? Why? Can you add something to the impressions?

1. It's a good little story, this - who would have thought you could make the daily runnings of a hotel that interesting?
Despite the odd crazy cliche the characters here are excellent, given that it's only a shortish book and not exactly heavily philosophical or anything too deep. an exciting plot with very little attention towards the language or other nuances.
2. Old school fiction that did not age as well. It is written like the screenplay to a tv show, not a work of great fiction. The twists were pretty transparent and the characters were pretty thin. It is not a great read, but it is a breezy time
3. Didn't like it a bit. I found the explanations boring and too much crime, bad natured characters and mishapenings for my taste. I expected some relaxing or happy event after some unpleasant one, but it was just one unfortunate event after another in this book. There was a murder of a mother and a child, a thievery which went unpunished at the end, falling of elevator which killed people, funeral...Nothing good in that story, it's the grimmest and the most uninteresting one I've read.
4. Good writing, engaging story which moves at a reasonable and consistent rate, enjoyable setting, and a diverse cast of fairly interesting characters. Hailey manages all of this, and the result is a very enjoyable book. How is it that so many other supposedly good writers fail to create books with one, if not many, of these characteristics?
