I changed the camera to be on shutter speed priority by moving the circle lever on the top let side of the camera to the capital S.

The slower the shutter speed it seemed the more blurry the person moving was, but as you increase the shutter speed the person moving becomes more in focus and crisp looking. Along with the person becoming more in focus the higher the shutter speed the darker the image becomes since it is not capturing as much light.

You want shutter speed to be priority because it insures you are able to capture an image with crispness when someone or something is moving. It could also be used to make light images or making running water look silky using a slow shutter speed it depends on what you want to capture.
