in this scene eddie mom still thinks that her husband is alive but he isn't. and eddie fells bad for her mom and tries and help her but she just thinks he is gone for work and not dead. she would do everything like her husband was their by fluffng the pillows on two sides of the bed when she only uses one and many other things she did too. the reason eddie was their was to try and find something taht belongs to his father anything because he needed it to help him. eddie tryed to help his mom when he got home by putting away the things his mother just got but his mother won't let him because she thnks eddie father will do it when they know eddie's father is dead.

eddie father was very impatient and really wanted eddie to get a job because he thinks that depression is a weakness and that it is not real. and eddie was just shot in the leg and he just came back from the hosiptial and is still injured and he is very depressed about that. and eddie father is just yelling at eddie to get a job. but his father deosn't know how much it really affected eddie and how much it still hurts him. but his father is too drunk to figure that out and doesn't know what to do.

eddie father is proud for eddie because he stood up for his brother in a fight. and he is saying to eddie that he is the stronger one out of the them and he needs to protect the because his brother is too weak to protect his self. and eddie father is saying to let no one touch eddie's brother at all. eddie was really brave fro doing that because he is was outnumbered. but he defended his brother and now noone will pick on his brother.

this is the scene where eddie after a long time finally meets his father again in heavan. and he is the third person that eddie is meeting along with rudy. but his dad does not acknowlegde him. because he is not really their it is in his head becaue he is really meeting rudy not his father. eddie really does miss his dad becaues of how many times he was yelling his name where it started to hurt his head.

this scene is very sad because he finally realized what he actually did. he realized the child that he was saving the house that he burnt was real. and that the captain tricked him. and this shows that edie will do anything to save anyone but it was the captain fault that the girl died. but it seems like the girl does not care that much that he killed her.

this scene is one of my favortie scene in the book. because it shows that the girl forgives eddie for what he did. and is allowing him to wash her scars and anger away for what happened. to show that she forgives him. this scene was very memorable.

tala the girl that eddie accendtaily killed show eddie his life purpose. taht he was meant to save kids in the board walk. to make sure taht all the rides were safe. so that the kids would not get hurt when they went on them. and how he even gave his life to save a little girl from a ride that was falling.
