The boy is thinly clad, underfed and covered with painful bruises, and believes he is full of sin, a result of his upbringing by his mother, a domineering, insane, God-fearing widow.
'What Purpose did your role have?'
My purpose of my role was to show how the conditions were for children during the war. How they have to leave their biological family because of war and how hard it is to fit in; especially with people you do not know at all.
'What was my creative intention?'
My creative intention was to show the struggles an evacuee has to face, moving away from their real family to someone they do not know.
'Did I stay true to acting style process?'
Yes, I stayed true to the acting style process as i emphasized how William would be shy as he does not know Mr. Tom. I also exaggerated how scared he would be; I emphasized this the most in the scene when Mr.Tom reveals the belt to William.
'How did i emphasize my'best practice' during rehearsal?'
I emphasized my best practice during rehearsal as I took my rehearsal seriously. We set up our performance.

Developing your character

When you are playing a role of someone else you become that person. You must accumulate all the quantities from that character.
Voice:
Your voice should match the character very clearly (e.g if you was to play the role of a super villain you would have a hoarse dry voice). Also 38% of communication is attributed to your tone of voice.
Pace & Pause:
In real life people speak at different paces, when people are excited they tend to speak very high pitch and quickly or when people are sad they speak slowly and tiredly. Pauses in speeches can build an intimate atmosphere and can really intrigue the audience.
Movement and Body:
We walk, sit and stand the same but we all do it differently for example posture. When people are upset they slouch and hunch but when people are happy they are upright and straight. This is extremely vital for the role your playing. You must consider this when developing your character.
