Surah At-Taubah , 9:40

• The Hadith of Jibril (Gabriel) is a great Hadith in which the Prophet ﷺ explained faith (Iman), Islam, and excellence (Ihsan). He also mentioned signs of the Hour and its indications.

• This Hadith provides comprehensive insights into the core aspects of faith, worship, and the unseen.

• Jibril as teaching for the religion.

• Jibril as a teacher because he asked about matters that the companions heard the answers to. So, the aspect of teaching was added to it because he came as a questioner to teach others, not to learn himself.

• He was knowledgeable in that regard, and that’s why he would say ‘You have spoken the truth’ after the Prophet ﷺ clarified the matters for which he was responsible.

• Tawhid Rububiyah: Belief in the Oneness of Allah as the Creator.

• Tawhid Uluhiyah: Belief in the Oneness of Allah in worship.

• Tawhid Asma wa Sifat: Belief in the Oneness of Allah's Names and Attributes.

2. Belief in Angels

• The existence of angels symbolizes Allah’s power to create magnificent beings.

• Knowing the duties of angels helps increase our piety in life, as we are aware that angels are always near us.

3. Belief in the Books

• The Quran is the guide for life.

4. Belief in the Messengers

• Belief in all prophets.

• The duty of messengers is to call people to worship Allah and guide them toward goodness.

• The duty of the ummah (community) is to believe in all the messages conveyed by the prophets.

5. Belief in the Afterlife

• Believing that life is lived only once and to make the best of it throughout our lives.

6. Belief in Qada and Qadar

• Qada: Refers to the divine decree or judgment of Allah regarding all matters of existence. It encompasses everything that Allah has ordained to happen in the universe, whether it is related to creation, events, or outcomes.

• Qadar: Refers to the concept of divine predestination or the measure of things. It involves the belief that Allah has preordained everything that will happen, including the specific details of each person’s life. This includes their actions, circumstances, and ultimate fate.

• Being grateful for all of Allah’s decrees because everything that happens has its wisdom.

Eschatology, or knowledge of the Day of Judgment, is connected to the belief that every action we perform in this world will be judged in the hereafter. This is closely related to Ihsan, which is mentioned 211 times in the Quran. Ihsan requires us to worship Allah as though we see Him, with its key characteristics including:

Doing good for others.

Performing good deeds with the highest quality and sincerity.

Doing acts of ihsan purely for the sake of Allah.

Al-Muhsin refers to someone who possesses the quality of ihsan, and Allah bestowed this special gift upon Prophet Noah. In Surah As-Saffat, verses 79 & 80, we see Prophet Noah's efforts in preaching, even though he had few followers. He preached about Tawhid, faith, and Aqidah with dedication day and night, as mentioned in Surah Hud, verse 29, where he sought no reward from Allah.

The story of Prophet Ibrahim involves his call to faith, first to his father and then to his people, including the test of breaking the idols to challenge the wisdom of his people and make them realize their errors.

The story of Prophet Yusuf tells of how he was sold in the market and bought by Al-Aziz's wife, Zulaikha. Surah Yusuf highlights the traits of al-Muhsin in Prophet Yusuf, such as his fear of Allah when Zulaikha attempted to seduce him. He interpreted the dream of a coming drought and took a leadership role to devise a strategy to handle the famine, all of which he did for the sake of Allah with full ihsan, as he believed in the Day of Judgment.

All these stories remind us that performing ihsan and striving sincerely in life is rooted in our belief in the hereafter, where our deeds will be accounted for.

• Etiquette as Students:

• Don't be harsh.

• Say thank you.

• Respect boundaries.

• Avoid gossiping.

• Protect the modesty of friends.

• Don't be two-faced.

• Complete your work.

• Respect your teachers.

Etiquette towards Parents:

• Responsibility.

• Obey their commands as long as they do not contradict Islamic teachings.

• Surah Maryam, verse 42:Addressing one's father respectfully. Forbidding idol worship and following Satan.

• Regardless of who our parents are, we must respect them.

Etiquette with Neighbours:

• Treat neighbours like family.

• Exchange food with them.

• Take care of the environment.

Etiquette vs Morality:

• Etiquette is the application of morality.

• Hadith: The essence of etiquette in Islam is practicing good morals.

• Adab (etiquette) is about what is proper and improper.

• Akhlak (morality) is about why something is proper or not.

• Morality reflects the quality of the heart.

• Etiquette is more about actions.

• Etiquette is a reflection of perfection.

• Etiquette is not just about quality but also a process.

• Never be afraid to seek help from others.

Thus he whose migration (Hijrah to Madeenah from Makkah) was for Allah and His Messenger, his migration was for Allah and His Messenger, and he whose migration was to achieve some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his migration was for that for which he migrated.

PURPOSE OF IBADAH

• As an act we worship only to ALLAH SWT.

• To earn the pleasure of ALLAH SWT.

IMPORTANCE OF NIYYAH

• Our niyyah determine whether our action is big or small, its value depends on the intention behind it. The sincerity of one's niyyah determines whether the deed will be rewarded, accepted, or rejected.

• For example, doing charity. we should set our niyyah to help other people and not to riya'.

• Niyyah help us sincere while worship to ALLAH SWT

• ALLAH SWT will reward everyone that sincere worship to Him in the hereafter.

  Prayer : Protected from committing disbelief (kufr) such as associating partners with Allah (shirk).

Meaning of khusyu' : the act of the heart such the feeling of afraid and fearful.

1. Taharah ( Bersuci)

   • the body

   • the clothing

   • the place in which prayer is offered

2. Important of Khusyu'

   • make solat meaningful and spiritually fulfilling

   • demonstrates complete submission and devotion to allah

   • succeeded believers

3. How to achieve Khusyu'

   • prepare mentally and physically

   • understand meaning of recitations

   • choose a quiet and clean place for solat

   • avoid distractions

   • ihsan

4. Effects of Khusyu'

   • increases mindfulness

   • strength connection with allah

   • promotes inner peace and reduces stress

   • rewards in the hereafter

conclusion : Khusyu' enhances quality of solat and life. Allah rewards every efforts that we make to get closer to Him.

1. Ta’ah (Obedience):

   • Obedience to Allah.

   • Comply the commands of Allah by performing the prayers at set times with proper ritual actions.

   • Strengthens the bond between the worshiper and their Creator.

2. Jihad (Struggle or Effort):

   • Struggle and effort one makes to perform prayer correctly and sincerely.

   • To overcoming distractions, laziness, or lack of focus while praying.

3. Muhasabah (Self-Accountability):

   • Self-reflection or self-accountability.

   • Encourages the worshiper to reflect on their actions, thoughts, and the quality of their prayers.

   • By evaluating their spiritual state, individuals can seek to improve their worship, purify their intentions, ensuring their prayer is performed in the best manner possible.

   • Tawadhu' - Humility is recognizing and respecting the dignity (takrim) that Allah has bestowed on every human being.

   • Sabr - Honoring and respecting the act of fasting, which leads naturally to the development of sabr (patience).

   • Ikhlas - someone respects the sacredness of fasting, they do so with pure intention. Not to show off or to meet societal expectations, but because they genuinely seek to please Allah.

   • Taqwa - Honoring the practice of fasting shapes individuals to be more obedient to Allah's commands, more mindful of His presence, and diligent in avoiding actions that could compromise their fast.

   • Emphaty - By valuing and practicing fasting, we become more aware of the hardships that others face.
