The Mexican Revolution began in November 20, 1910, and ended in 1917. It was one of the first revolutions of the 20th century. Porfirio was the president when the revolution first started. In October 1910, one of Porfirio's political enemies was freed from jail. His name was Francisco I. Madero. That person moved to the U.S. and created the Plan of Luis Potosi, which encouraged Mexicans to rise up against the president, which started the revolution.

One of the leaders of the revolution was Francisco Madero. He was one of the president's political enemies. When Francisco was running for president, he was put in jail. He was eventually set free, so he went to the USA and wrote the Plan of San Luis Potosi. This is what inspired the revolution.

Ever since the fall of the Roman Empire, Italy was divided into independent states, so unification wasn't a common thought until Napoleon invaded Italy. The revolution officially started in 1848. Venice had revolutions against the Austrians. Sicilians fought for independence from the Napals. Rome declared a republic, which was led by Giuseppe Mazzini.

Mazzini was someone who caused an uprising in Rome. He created the Republic of Rome. However, this was short lived. Not so long after the Republic was created, France invaded the Republic to reinstate the pope back into power. After a while, France succeeded.

The Social Democrat party had a majority in Germany. Many of the party members agreed with the idea to support Germany in WW1. Only some party members disagreed. The members who disagreed were thrown into jail. There were a lot of strikes due to the lack of food.

Otto von Bismarck was one of the greatest leaders in Germany in 1871. He was the prime minister of Prussia from 1862-90. He was also the founder and first chancellor of the German Empire. Bismarck was born in the Kingdom of Prussia on April 1st, 1815. He died on July 30th, 1898.
