The aim of this unit is for students to analyze a variety of texts through the lense of time and space, specifically the contexts in which these texts were originally written and how they are now received. 

Students will also be asked explore how an individual's  views on the texts could be influenced by gender identity. 

Students will be asked to identify and describe a relationship between the texts. 

Students will then reflect on their ideas through the following student-led activities: 
1) small-group discussion   
2) headlines activity (newspaper-style headline to capture the essence of an idea, event, topic) in which they create a series of disparate interpretations of the texts .
