Me: First, we went to the Kuching airport by car and flew to Kuala Lumpur. We spent 2 nights there before taking a train to Butterworth on the mainland. Then, we took a ferry to Penang Island. We coached to a seaside bungalow where we would be staying for 4 nights.

Friend: Traveling is boring. Let's get to the actual vacation.

Me: Okay. I just finished the traveling part too so now onto the fun part. We relaxed on the beach and played and swim after getting to the seaside. The day after, we visited famous historical sites in the city, such as Snake Temple and Botanical Gardens. And then it was the dawn of another day.

Friend: Interesting. What happened next?

Me: We got up early at 7 am so that we could fully enjoy the Penang Hill experience without crowds. We hiked on the nature trails and found the Sri Aruloli Thirumurugan Hindu Temple, the Hill Mosque and a 250 year old cannon. Eventually we reached the peak and enjoyed the stunning view on top. Then we took the funicular train down and enjoyed some delicious Penang food.

Friend: Wow...... I'm so jealous! I only did revisions and played some video games during the holiday.

Me: The next day we took a bus tour around the island and visited some more tourist hotspots, one of which is a fruit farm. We got to see how the fruits were harvested and was an eye opening experience on my view on farms, as i previously thought it was a mundane medieval labor work.

Friend: And the next day?

Me: We didn't do much the fourth day as we were preparing to go back to Kuching. We played at the beach a little and that was it. I felt sad as I didn't want to leave Penang Island, but sometimes you have to let things go.

Friend: But that meant you had a lot fun, isn't it?

Me: Yeah. Anyhow, class is starting so go back to your desk.

Finally, we took a bus tour around the island and visited the fruit farm.

Qi Heng: Wow it took you long to get there, what did you did in Penang?

Sheng Heng: It took me long to get there but it was all worth it! We stayed there for 4 nights. There's alot of things we did such as relaxing on the beautiful beach. We also played and swam near the beach. After that, we visited the historical sites in the city and Visited famous Snake Temple and Botanical Gardens. It was so exciting and fun!

Qi Heng: That's amazing! Did you visit the Penang Hill? I heard that the view up there is stunning and absolutely beautiful!

Sheng Heng: Yes ,I did! It was so worth it even though it is tough. We enjoyed the view up there and enjoyed the delicious Penang food such as Char Kuey Teow. Lastly, we took a bus tour around the island and visited fruit farm.

Raechel: I'm doing well, I just arrived back home from a trip to Penang with my family.

Candice: Oh, really? How was your holiday there?

Raechel: Well, we drove from our house to Kuching airport early in the morning so we could catch a flight to KL. We spent two nights there, it was really fun.

Candice: That does sound fun. What did you and your family do next?

Raechel: We took a train to Butterworth, and it was crowded with people! I guess a lot of people wanted to visit Penang during the holidays. On the ferry we took across to Penang Island, I almost dropped my phone in the sea while taking pictures.

Candice: It would've been funny if that happened, let's be honest.

Raechel: It would be unfortunate. Luckily, I managed to get a better grip of my phone before I lost it. After we reached the island, we took a coach to the seaside bungalow we rented. We stayed there for four nights before we head back home. 

Candice: What were the activities you did during those four nights?

Raechel: For the most of the time, I just relaxed on the beach while my siblings play and swim in the sea. We visited historical sites in the city, my favorite places were the Snake Temple and Botanical Gardens.

Candice: I wouldn't enjoy visiting Snake Temple, I'm terrified of snakes.  

Raechel: Good thing you weren't visiting with us, then. Anyway, we also had a day trip up Penang Hill. The view from atop the hill was absolutely beautiful! The air was really fresh and cooling as well. Through out the trip, I think I enjoyed the delicious Penang food the most. Oh, I almost forgot! We also took a bus tour around the island and visited fruit farms!

Candice: Your holiday sounds really eventful, Raechel. I wish I could go on interesting trips as well.

Mike: Well, because I had to meet up with my friends. I spent two nights at their place before moving on to our next destination, Butterworth which is on the mainland. It surprised me that my friends decided to travel by train.

Will: Oh, I see. It was a wise choice, though, since you don't have to spend so much money. Anyway, what did you do afterward?

Mike: We then took ferry across to Penang Island.

Will: Ferry seems cool!

Mike: I know right. After that, we took a coach to the seaside bungalow. We stayed there for 4 nights. Our first activity of the day was relaxing on the beach. We played and swam in the sea. Although the weather was extreme, but it was definitely worth it! Crazy how we even made new friends. On the second day, we visited historical sites in the city. We learnt so many interesting histories of Penang.

Will: I can picture this delightful scenery.

Mike: On the third day, we had a tour at the famous Snake Temple and Botanical Gardens. We got so wrapped up! On our last day, we got up early and had our time at the Penang Hill. We enjoyed the charming view and the cool breeze from the top. Later on, we had our lunch. We ate all kind of well-known Penang food such as Char Kuey Teow and Asam Laksa. Finally at the end of the day, we had a bus tour around the island. We visited the fruit farm. It was amazing! Even though it's been days since the last I visited Penang, there is still no way for me to forget how mesmerising the place is!

Will: Wow, I feel like I just had a vacation with you all! I'm positive that I will visit Penang next time. Thanks for your time today.

Zi Sam: We spent two nights at KL, did some shopping and rested before we continued our journey. After that, we took the train to Butterworth, on the mainland. Then, we took the ferry across to Penang Island. I was thrilled that time because it was my first time taking a ferry!

Kelly: That must be a great experience for you. Where did you stay in Penang?

Zi Sam: My father booked a seaside bungalow at Batu Feringghi to stay there for four nights. The place was tranquil and it was just nice for me. The air there was fresh and crisps.

Kelly: Wow, that's wonderful! What did you and your family do there?

Zi Sam: Well, we relaxed ourselves on the beach, walking on the soft sand and swam in the warm sea. My sister and I also played volleyball at the beach. We were over the moon. At night, we had a barbeque at the beach. 

Kelly: I am getting more and more interested in your trip. What other activities that you carried out in Penang?

Zi Sam: We visited the historical sites in the city the next day.

Kelly: What historical sites that you visited?

Zi Sam: The Fort Cornwallis. We took a walk there and saw ancient guns! It was so cool that we took photos with it. There was also a small souvenir shop. My mother bought some souvenirs for our friends and relatives. Then, we took a visit to the famous Snake Temple and Botanical Gardens. The Snake Temple had a lot of snakes living there but fortunately, they were gentle.

Kelly: I guess I won't visit there as I am scared of snake. Did you visit the Penang Hill? It is famous in Penang.

Zi Sam: Yes, I did. We hiked up the Penang Hill. Although my calf and thigh felt pain, it was truly a fun experience for me. After four hours, we reached the top. The scenery was magnificent, I loved there so much!

Kelly: I can feel your excitement now. Time to talk about the food, how was the Penang food?

Zi Sam: It was delicious! We ate a lot of signature dishes such as Char Koay Teow, Asam Laksa, Nasi Kandar and Oyster Omelette. The food costed for a song although it was quite a big portion! It was worth to eat. I think that I had gained a lot of weight after eating all that foods.

Kelly: Haha, but it really tastes good.

Zi Sam: You're right. At the last day, we took a bus tour around the island. We visited the fruit farm. The staffs welcomed us with open arms when we reached there. I gained a lot of knowledge about different kind of fruits. Their velvet apples was a must try! 

Kelly: Really? Then I'll have to visit there and try it. So, what did you feel after the trip?

Zi Sam: Of course I felt elated! I had a whale of a time there and it was indeed a remarkable trip for me and my family.

Clara: Is there some fun activities you carry out there?

Me: Absolutely! We played at the lovely sandy beach and swam through the light blue sea. We really get to relaxed there! The next morning, we ascend the hill of Penang and enjoy the spectacular view from the top. The air felt refreshing and refreshing! Later on, we visit famous places like Snake Temple and Botanical Garden.

Clara: Is there delicious food you love out there?

Me: Oh, yes! I enjoyed the Asam Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Popiah, Oyster Omelette and Wantan Mee. On our final day in Penang, we visited the fruit farm. We have tried numerous exotic fruits there and enjoyed freshly squeezed juice. We also learn a lot of local fruit species at Penang. Last but not least, we took a bus tour around the island marking the end of our trip in Penang.

Jessie:My family and I started journey with car ride from house to Kuching airport.Then,we flew from Kuching to KL.We spent 2 nights in KL before taking train to Butterworth,on the mainland.After the train journey,we took ferry across to Penang Island.We coached to a seaside bungalow that we had already booked online.We stayed there for 4 nights.

Jane:Awesome!What did you do on the beach?

Jessie:I enjoyed swimming in the sea while my siblings enjoyed building sandcastle on the beach.

Jane:What else activities you did during those four nights?

Jessie:We got visit the historical sites in the city such as the famous Snake Temple and Botanical Gardens.

Jane:You mean snake?!

Jessie:Yes.But don't worry it will not hurt someone.We also hiked Penang Hill.The view from top is very beautiful.

Jane:There are a lot of delicious food in Penang,aren't they?

Jessie:Yes.I like the most is Char Kway Teow,Asam Laksa and Nasi Lemak.

Jane:I must try it when I visit Penang!It sounds delicious.

Jessie:Yes,you must.Last but no least,we took a bus tour around the island and visited a fruit farm.The fruits look juicy and fresh!

Chris: I'm good. I just visited Penang with my family.

Jane: That's great! How did you'll go there?

Chris: Well, we first reached Kuching airport by car. After a few hours flying, we arrived at KL from Kuching. Then we decided to spend two nights there. 

Jane: What had you done at KL, did you visit the Petronas Twin Towers? 

Chris: Yes, we did. Besides that, we also visited our aunt who lived in KL before we took the train to Butterworth. I felt so excited during the journey on the ferry across to Penang Island. It was my first time taking a ferry! 

Jane: Wow, it must be an amazing experience! 

Chris: Yes, it was. After reaching the island,  we took a coach to the seaside bungalow which we were going to stay for 4 nights.

Jane: Please tell me more, I can't wait to know what you have done in Penang.

Chris: I enjoyed spending time relaxing on the beach. I also flew the kites and swam in the crystal blue sea happily with my family.  The following day, we visited a few historical sites in the city. Two of the most interesting places are the famous Snake Temple and Botanical Gardens.

Jane: Oh I really can't believe it, wasn't your brother afraid of snakes?

Chris: Yeah, you're right. Our jaw dropped too when he made this suggestion. To our surprise, he successfully overcame his fear and we even take photos with the snakes around our necks. 

Jane: It sounds interesting! Did you visit anywhere else?

Chris: Of course! We would never want to miss the famous Penang Hill. We hiked up the hill in the very early morning. Finally, we reached the top after two hours. We were having a delicious breakfast while enjoying the breathtaking scenery. 

Jane: I can feel your relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.

Chris: You've hit the nail on the head, I was really relaxed at the hilltop. The trip was wonderful but savoring a variety of local foods was just the icing on the cake. We have tried Chendol, Char Koay Teow, Curry mee, Rojak, and more. They were all mouth-watering and at an affordable cost.

Jane: I can hear my stomach growling now! I will definitely try those foods if I visit Penang.

Chris: I am sure you will love them once you have tried. Before the journey ended, we took a bus tour around the island and visited the Tropical Fruit Farm. It had a lot of fruits such as pineapple, durian, mangosteen, and more. My favourite fruit was the avocado!

Emma: First, my dad drove us to Kuching airport and we flew to Kuala Lumpur to visit my cousin. 

Olivia : I see, how long did you stay there? And what else did you do after that?

Emma: Afther 2 nights staying there ,we took a train to Butterworth, on the mainland. Then,we took a ferry across to Penang Island. We stayed there for a 4 days in a seaside bungalow.

Olivia: Wow,thats impressive! So what did you do in Penang?

Emma: Well on the frist day we arrived,it's in the evening so we just relax on the beach. My brothers and l went swimming and we play in the sea. While my father and mother enjoied themself whatching the magnificence sunset and drinking a cheap coconut water.

Olivia: Ah...that's so relaxing. What's next?

Emma:  On the second day, we visited the historical sites in the city. Such as the  Kapitan Keling Mosque,Botanical Gardens  and the famous Snake temple.

Olivia: Oh my! I wanted to go to the Snake temple since I was small! How was it? 

Emma: It  is  amazing  .When I visited the temple there were probably a dozen or so snakes, said to be Wagler's Pit Vipers or Temple Pit Vipers, coiled around what look like bamboo hat stands in front of the altar and in a side room. On the third day, we had a day trip up Penang Hill. We enjoyed the veiw from top. Finaly on the last day, we took a bus tour around the island and we also visited a fruit farm. The fruits were very juicy! 

Olivia: I'm so jealous that you went to such a nice place. How about the food ? I heard that the food there is delicious. 

Emma: We enjoy the Penang food too. Oh, I almost forgot that we did a last minute shopping and this is for you. I hope you like it.

Juno: Interesting! I can feel a sense of happiness and relaxation.And also, you can gain your knowledge when traveling.

Kid: We also visited to the famous Snake Temple. We got to see the real snake at there but they are tame and harmless.After that, we went to Botanical Gardens where is surrounded by nature.In the next morning, we went for a day trip up Penang Hill.We could see the majestic sunrise and enjoyed the view from top.We inhaled the fresh air and felt rejuvenated.

Juno: Wow, I think the scenery from top of the hill was really magnificent.I heard that Penang is well-known with its food.Did you try for them?

Kid: Sure.We savored the delectable food at Penang’s street food.We had eaten Prawn Noodles, Char Kuey Teow, Asam Laksa and Cendol.We enjoyed these local food at a reasonable price.We ended up our journey with a bus tour around the island and also visited a fruit farm.It had planted with numerous of fruits.I strongly recommend you to try out the fruits if you have a chance, they are so delicious!

Yi Ming: After reaching the island, we coached to seaside bungalow. We were  decided to stay there for 4 night. Then, we relaxed on the beach. We enjoyed swimming and playing there.

Gloria: Well, we relaxed on the beach. We swam in the sea and built a big castle with sand. My brother was shaking when the breezy wind blowed. Then, we visited the famous Snake Temple and Botanical Gardens,the historical sites in the city. 

Eva: Wow! Are those snake scary? 

Gloria: No,they are not scary. Oh, I also took a photo with snakes twined on my neck. I will send you later on. 

Eva: Ah, you are so brave! So what's next?

Gloria: Next, we have a day trip up Penang Hill. We went up the Penang Hill by cliff railway. After we reached the top, there’s a viewing deck that offers us a magnificent panoramic view of George Town. My family and I enjoyed the stunning view from the top. Also, we enjoyed the delicious local foods there such as Penang laksa, pasembur, rojak, char koay teow and many more. Before going back home, we took a bus tour around the island and visited fruit farm.
