WHY WE CHOOSE TOBACCO ASH?
Tobacco doesn't just negatively impact the health of individuals, it also endangers the health of the environment. E-cigarette and cigarette waste can make its way into the environment where it pollutes water, air,and land with toxic chemicals, heavy metals, and residual nicotine. An estimated 766,571 metric tons of cigarette butts make their way into the environment every year, and according to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, at least five disposable e-cigarettes are being thrown away every second in the United States, amounting to 150 million devices per year -which together contain enough lithium for about 6,000 Teslas. E-cigarette waste contributes to the already overwhelming issue of general electronic waste: in 2019,Americans generated 6.92 kilotons of consumer electronic waste, including e-cigarette waste, all bound for landfills or incinerators.

In the end, we chose to make a coffin out of many products under consideration, and used the acetate fiber extracted from the cigarette holder to make a coffin.
After some research, we found out that the material used for the mouthpiece is acetate, a plasticized plant fiber, which is ideally suited as a sustainable material because of its biodegradable and moldable qualities, so it can be chopped up into pellets and reshaped into the product we need--the Coffins.
What's special about us is that so far no one seems to have thought of making coffins out of cigarette butts. As Sophia mentioned earlier, the material used in coffins in the past was mostly wood, and cutting down too many trees would cause ecological damage. Therefore, we chose a new raw material to replace wood. The degradability of acetate fiber perfectly avoids environmental pollution, and the simple shape design also avoids more material consumption.

Although I knew that I was practicing with many classes, I was still very nervous when I entered the meeting and saw so many people.
Fortunately, we had practiced two or three times before, and although we were a little nervous, we did well in the end. When making ppt, members of our team worked together, each of them was responsible for different parts. Because we finished ppt together, we had a good understanding of each other's speech, and we could complete PPT smoothly when changing the number of pages. This group ppt has brought me a brand new experience, which is a good opportunity to exercise myself for win-win cooperation, and everyone gives full play to their own advantages to complete the task together.
After the speech was accepted, the teachers also put forward some suggestions. For example, it is very important to interact with the audience during the speech, the voice should not be monotonous, the hand should not support the cheek, and the body language is the best. In the content of the speech to control the time, do not blindly say a part, to think about the whole. It was a valuable experience for me.
