If the trainee is in a small dept, usually the small dept is situated within a larger faculty. Could the trainee teach/co teach within another subject e.g Music trainee teach Drama also?

So it’s 80% of a full time teacher’s timetable. Where an ECT would teach 90%.

Trainees are building to this so maybe just the last two weeks.

But what about UTCs they don’t have the available classes to get that far. When 2/5 of their cohort are in exams or have left.

Some issues here as it is actually 80% of 90% - poss 75%?
Schools reluctant to allow trainees to teach at this level so early into the placement.
Schools are not good at calculating what 80% is as am session is longer than pm but they tend to treat them at half a day each.

need 80% for 6 weeks but only have a final 6 week placement - not much flex if they are off for any reason.

Using the school’s planning. Doing shared teaching. Doesn’t specify 80% is the whole class for teaching.

6 weeks of 80% easier to achieve with PG but could be a challenge with BA3 who only have 6 weeks
