The penny I picked was 2000. This was the year we moved to the Quad Cities. I started working at Rivermont Collegiate, Bettendorf, Ia.

My goal is to have my staff purposefully utilize the new ipads.

1983. I was 13. I had hernia surgery. Pretty embarrassing for a kid. I'm still traumatized.

The penny I picked up was from 1995. That was the year we moved "home" to Dubuque - just 3 weeks after our second (final) child, Josh, was born.

Jeff - 1983- I barely remember that year but I was in 8th grade at Washington Junior High School. My greatest memory about that year was playing basketball for Art Wiegand. Wow! Pretty intense.

I am sure it was a busy year since I am unable to remember much. Married for 23 years to Brian, Paula was a junior at Mount Mercy, Rob was a junior at Beckman, Ashley was a 6th grader and Morgan a 3rd grader at Hennessy. Moving 4 different directions.

My goal would be that my teachers and students do not remember the frustrations of the new hardware they have been given, but rather a POSITIVE memory of the techniques of infusing 21st Skills within the classroom as well as the the students. I want them to say wow this just made teaching a whole lot easier.

My goal is to get students to use think differently about the technologies they use every day, and find new (constructive) uses for them. I want them to see something they've had for a long time as brand new! Also, it would be incredible to do geocaching with a class and make them think about the places they visit differently.

Goal:

I want to encourage our staff to be digital explorers and risk-takers. It's easy to allow someone to show you how to do something...it's a challenge, but so much more effective to work through things on your own and share what you have found out!
