I felt this school were providing me with the best opportunities during my time.

When making contact with the school, both Hannah and Marie seemed excited about this opportunity and were eager to support me during this programme. They ensured they could provide me with a wide learning platform; in addition to watching and teaching dance, I have also been provided with the opportunity to observe Drama sessions and help assist with the planning and activities within year 9 and year 10 sessions. I believe attending drama has opened me up to new opportunities. The first role is a dance teacher, teaching dance at both key stage 3 and key stage 4 which can progress into the head of department who takes charge of the units and course that’s being carried out ensuring the best for all dance students. 
Another option presented to me alongside being a dance teacher, is training with the exam board to mark papers and go out to grade dance examinations, this role requires extra time and commitment on top of teaching but is something I’d like to consider achieving in the near future.
However, some of the jobs are roles you’d never consider when planning your job career, for example the safe guarding officer was originally the schools only drama teacher; she stressed she never had heard of this role until recent years of teaching, but now safeguarding is such a serious issue that schools are required to have atleast one person dealing with safeguarding around the school ensuring the students are safe.
Other ways of progression is developing your career path and working towards carrying out the head teacher or deputy teacher role - something every school needs.
