For example the Watergate scandal which according to Wikipedia, was when president Nixon covered up his involvement in the break-in of the Democratic National committee.So he was impeached for obstruction of justice, content of congress, and for abuse of power and later he resigned from the office. This shows political corruption since Nixon should have come clean, but instead he used his power to try and hide it for his benefit.

It seems this is a good match, because Rome had a lot of political corruption that went against peace and justice like bribes that may have made them ignore justice.And the goal is peace and justice, this SDG really focused on that there is no corruption to stop peace justice, this would have helped Rome by helping their citizens with their needs and it would have lead citizen's to have more trust in the empire, and this was according to studies of httpshistory.com://www.studentsofhistory.com.
