2. Develop students' proficiency in English and Spanish for effective communication and access to broader educational and professional opportunities. 
3. Enhance intercultural understanding and respect among the diverse linguistic communities in San Andrés. 
4. Improve overall academic performance and cognitive skills through multilingual education. 
5. Support the social and economic development of San Andrés by fostering a multilingual workforce.

Each objective should be defined and its implications considered. Number four has been done for you. Write definition for the remaining objectives and their implications.

Objective 4. Improve overall academic performance and cognitive skills through multilingual education. 

  • Definition: 
Multilingual education aims not only to improve students' linguistic skills, but also their academic performance and cognitive abilities.

  • Methodological and Didactic Implication: Use a variety of teaching strategies that cater to different learning styles, incorporating cognitive challenges in multiple languages as to help student to develop both LOTs and HOTs skills. Types of knowledge and Bloom´s taxonomy are integrated in designing learning and development objectives.
