He uses the appeals of Ethos and Logos in the lyrics and the appeals of Logos and Pathos in the video to get his message across. In multiple interviews, Dallon has said about 'Leave me Alone' "that song is a line in the sand" (Benitez-Eves), when talking to someone. Its like the last thing you say before an argument begins to get uncivil. This is probably referring to previous problems within Panic! at the Disco, but, it could also something with the record company IDKHOW works with now giving them creative freedom with their songs. This line is very effective in conveying logos.

"/Mad as a hatter with a dagger and a dollar sign/"
When being a hatter was a common profession, they would work with mercury to make the hats keep their shape and mold the hats into their shape. If you know anything about mercury, it should be that it can cause brain damage when the fumes are inhaled, thus the phrase "mad as a hatter." The rest of the line most likely has connections to Panic! like with the example above. Their first album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out had lots of figures dressed in steampunk-esque clothing, including daggers and hats. The "dollar sign" portion of the line is most likely referring to Brendon Urie and problems Dallon had with him and Panic! before he left. The song is also a critiqe of entertainment buisness culture. A - The audience are people who want to draw a line in the sand with "anyone that would want to do you harm, whether that's physical, or verbal, or emotional" (Benitez-Eves).
P - The purpose of the song was to give Dallon something to put his feelings into. In his interview with American Songwriter, Weeks said that the song is a sort of critique of entertainment and business culture. It's a way for Dallon to exercise his creative freedom and show his disenchantment with the music industry.
S - The subject of the lyrics are to critique entertainment business culture in a fictional narrative. The basic lore of IDKHOW is that there is a band that shows up in many different times through VHS video tapes. There is little official lore revealed behind 'Leave Me Alone' as of yet.
Tone - The tone of the lyrics are very final. In this line, Dallon is most likely referencing A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, specifically the song 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies' where Brendon Urie wears a hat iconic with that song and album. He does many things like tips it and does various tricks with his hat. Once you know the band's background, it is very easy to see who this is referencing and conveys the ethos appeal effectively.

"/Oh you're a big shot here but nobody else knows/"
This line could be referencing a friend of Brendon Urie who often acted as a body guard for him. This man would hit on Dallon Weeks' wife. Breezy Weeks, Dallon Weeks' wife, had reportedly had to keep quiet about the harassment in order for Dallon to keep his job in Panic!, probably where "nobody else knows" come from. Now, this line is more obscure, but with the correct knowledge, this line does convey ethos effectively.

P - The purpose of the video is to convey a fictional narrative about a band lost o time. The videos and the music are 'leaked' to the public as a way to show a corrupt company. The video is supposed to be a way to take your time and dull your mind while you look at something shiny.
S - The subject of the video is isolation. The feeling of being a bird in a cage for your entertainment.
Tone - The tone is a more sassy vibe.
