The design is engaging and informative. You are drawn in by the image of the surfer looking out over the ocean. By looking at the large text, you know immediately that there are New Arrivals, and you should “Shop now.”
2. It is appropriate and clear because you are shown multiple images of new arrival categories of what you should shop for.
3. The design reflects function and purpose because of its easy readability and straight forwardness. The viewer does not need to struggle to find the message of the design, it is noticeably clear.
4. The elements are cohesive by showing one main image and treating the additional side images with the same hierarchy. All the images reflect surfing and items for purchase. 
5. There is a logical progression. First your eye is lead to the main text: Shop Now. You are then given a surfer image, drawing you in to the mood of the type of shop that it is. Next you are given multiple categories from which to choose from.

The design is engaging and informative. The images of food and drinks are engaging, and headings are informative.
2. It was hard to tell if the message was appropriate and clear. The largest text is talking about drinking, but then there's a lot of other topics on the page. 
3. The design reflects its function and purpose. It's a magazine article and has easy to read columns. 
4. The visual elements like the circles with the time in them and the black boxes are cohesive. Also the small graphics on the right, and on the bottom right of the left page.
5. There is a logical progression through the design. You know where to start reading, and the colored boxes help to guide you where to go next. You also don't necessarily have to read it in order. There are times that would help also.

The importance of analysis is being certain that your design meets the criteria set by the client. It allows the designer to see if all the materials work together to create a clear image of understanding and allows the message to be consistent. Having a third party who fits the criteria of the targeted audience can dictate whether the design is moving in the right direction.

2.) 1- The book cover gives the reader a curious insight on what to expect.
      2- The message is both appropriate and clear.
      3- Yes, both function and purpose is to peak a young adults mind into reading the book. it is vivid and creative.
     4- The visual elements are cohesive. It is eye catching and unique. It intersects the designs.
    5. The logical progression in the design is the image and the title. It causes the focus to go from the title to the design image. The bird in flight and the serpent in the front.

It is important because you are making sure everything (visual elements) fits together. If there is something found out of place it does not show to be complete/finished. So it is important to examine carefully.

2) 1- Yes, it's simple, but yet grabs my attention. It gives me all the information I would need to know.

3-  Yes, I believe is does. The record reflects that it is a music festival and it fits perfectly. 
4- The visual elements are cohesive. It is simple and there is not to much going on, but that can be a good thing because it catches my eye. Also, it fits perfectly with what the event is.
