The document/article is written by the Ministry of Enviroment of Denmark.

In the article we hear about the Brundtlandrapport from 1987 and the different UN conferences throughout the years ever since. It draws a timeline from 1972 until 2015, where the UN published the 17 new world goals for sustainable development.

The document is:

Historic because we see a cronological timeline of the different UN enviromental conferences.

Informative because it explains sustainable development and also gives information about the conferences

Political because they talk about the goals being universal and can/should be applied to every single country in the world.

The paragraph that deals with the UN world goals argues, that sustainable development applies not only to enviromental problems, but equally to economic and societal problems.

They do not mention education for sustainable development in the article, but they briefly mention education in a general form.

We believe the article is more of a broader overview of the history behind sustainable development, rather than a detailed description.

We all agree that the 17 world goals are very young. We can also see, that the importence and the attention of the enviromental issues has been growing exponentially ever since the first conference in 1972.
