🎡Today I had my first class. At first the group was quite shy, but I think that a friendly, warm and trusting environment was created.

At first I felt nervous, with a great challenge to overcome knowing that a long and exciting journey awaits me during the classes that last the workshop.

Personally, I took care of preparing all the necessary details so that the children can create their place of belonging. The eight students attended their first English class excited, anxious and happy, and the families accompany the process.

Choose a moment that was important for the students during the lesson, describe it and say why it was important

The moment that was relevant to me was when we sat on the carpet to begin using the colored clay to write their names. Many of them did not know how to write them and I was excited to be able to go through that moment with them, teaching them the letters that contain their respective names. Personally, that was a magical moment where emotions blossomed, an environment of trust was generated that will surely continue. A beautiful shared moment. At the time of saying goodbye, they asked me for a photo with "the new teacher" showering me with hugs, love and words full of love.

THIRD CLASS 12 OCTOBER

The third class was very enriching and creative. The whole group enjoyed the proposal and the materials used.

The Lion King puppet presented five colours (red, yellow, black, blue and green) and the initial letters of the Lion King's friends (Elephant, Giraffe, Lion, Monkey, Tiger, Zebra).

The children were invited by the teacher to colour 2 animals chosen by her using art, creativity and imagination.

In the works their fine skills were used, the teacher gave them a plastic fork and a cardboard with the lion's face and they had trays with acrylic paints of the five colours recently learned to colour the lion's head using their imagination.

Then the teacher went around the tables to draw the silhouette of the zebra so that they could draw the stripes using creativity and their fingers. The drawings were left to dry in the classroom until the next class to take them home.

What aspects of the lesson do you consider successful?

Personally, I consider the entire class to have been a success in itself. The art and creativity proposal, along with the colours and the different animals presented, captured the students in a magical world full of colour, imagination and creativity.

SECOND CLASS O5 OCTOBER

For the second class I chose the following questions

What teaching strategies did you use? Which ones were effective? Why and why not?

In this second class the strategy that has been effective was the use of the lion's king puppet. I used it as a trigger since the topic they were looking at was numbers and when they saw the puppet they were a bit curious. I invited them to play with the lion king to introduce his five friends who live in the jungle. The reason for using it was because I thought it was a good idea to be able to present numbers and animals with the king of the jungle. The animals were introduced through flashcards, at the entrance to the classroom a mobile board is used to announce the topics of the day.

How did the students react to your teaching, to the activities and the materials? How did they react to the lesson?

During the second class the students were excited and eager to work, a little shy but eager for the proposals and materials to be used. A game was played with a dice to roll and the number that came up had to be identified. Then they counted from 1 to 5, learning through repetition. After that they reviewed and repeated the names of the five friends of the lion´s king puppet.

In general the proposed materials and activities fostered and enriched their imagination by acquiring new vocabulary.

FOURTH CLASS 19 OCTOBER

In this fourth class I can describe it as fun, we used balls of different colours to continue incorporating numbers, we reviewed the numbers one to five and six to ten were incorporated. The group was enthusiastic; they already know each other and trust is generated between peers. However, some fight, compete, and sometimes they are bothered by situations of another classmate. The teacher needs to reaffirm the limits with some students.

What part of the lesson requires change or improvement?

Perhaps the part that requires improvement is the interruption of some student during the teacher's explanation, which overlaps with his classmates because he is a child who lacks limits and respect for others. Communication has been maintained with the family, who reported that similar situations occur in all the environments he attends. The teacher will try to continue establishing limits and talking about behaviour in the classroom and respect for others.

During this lesson, a new friend from The Lion´s King (puppet) was introduced. The Very Small Hungry Caterpillar was then presented to the children. Various fruits were shown to elicit vocabulary related to the fruits, encouraging the children to incorporate these words into their second language through repetition.

Next, children were invited to create their own caterpillar using coloured circles and adding the fruits that it had eaten. This activity was designed to engage the students, encouraging them to craft an imaginative story while painting and assembling their own caterpillar. Before starting, I modelled the activity and invited the students to replicate it creatively, using a teacher-led approach.

In this last lesson, the activities from the previous lesson were continued, ensuring a positive and curious response from the students. Kinesthetic activities were carried out while storytelling The Very Hungry Caterpillar. A new puppet, The Very Big Hungry Caterpillar, was introduced. Through the story, children observed the difference between the sizes small and big, repeating the words as they incorporated new vocabulary.

Afterwards, the kids were invited to finish the caterpillar activity. The different foods (ice cream, cake, sausage, lollipop, and watermelon) were presented to them. Then I introduced the days of the week, modelling the activity using a poster. I marked and showed the different days, explaining what the caterpillar ate each day. Children were invited to place the days in order and then encouraged to repeat them.

The activity concluded in a creative way, allowing the students to express themselves freely.
