Debate has helped me in imprroving my communication skills at all levels and I feel more confident while communicating

with anyone be it my friends, my school principal or my teachers. It also has helped me in creative thinking and comprehension. It taught me how to give rebuttal and how to place my points against my opponents.

My cricket

Cricket is my favouraite sport. While I enjoy batting the most, I feel each aspect of the game helpes me to improve my focus, fitness, hand eye cooadination and stategic planning.

my maths assesments

My first maths assesments score was a little low. I felt I lacked in practice and hence I couldnt score as per my expectations.

However, I practiced harder for my second assessment, which helped me improve my score. I ensure doing more homework and practice algebra and geometry concepts at home as well.

I am sure I will score much better in my upcoming assessments.

Science

I found Science a little bit harder as i could not score well in

the assesment and i need more reading and writing practice. My main point of focus is to be able to answer all questions in scientific language, for which I continue to practice at home.

My Debate Championship

I recently participated in UAE Juniour Debate Championship.I

prepared for 3 rounds, one of them was an impromt round . We

worked in teams and together we won 2 debates and qualified to the semi finals.While our group was appriciaed by the judges,they also gave me very high appreciation for my speeches.They complemented me on my voice modulation and my confidence.

How did it happen so far

It happend very well and I had a brilliant experience!

We were given 2 motions for both prop and opp speeches.

The first motion was on banning sports leauges and 2nd was

enforcement of privacy rights in high crime rate areas.

We were given an impromtu motion wich was restricting forgein admission in US ivy leauge universities

Why is debate important

Debate gives us a perspective of looking at 2 sides of the given topic. It enhances our communication abilites as we have to strongly put our point in debate . It also helps us to

be good listeners in a conversation as it is important to listen to the opponents points and give our rebuttal in the debate.

Participating in a debate also helps improving our resarch skills and learn about more intersting topics

Reading Books

Reading is a very important part of learning. Be it any subject,

maths,scence,english,history reading is an important part in

every subject.

I feel I need a lot of improvement my reading as I need to be

better in my comprehension , wich will happen by reading more books .I have started reding everyday during my bedtime and will continue to read during my holidays as well.

Oppurtunity to showcase

Student Led Conference gives me an oppurtunity to showcase what i have learnt during the term, what my teachers have guided me to learn and settle down in the new school.
