The fall of Jim Crow was 1964 by the Civil Rights Act and 1965 Voting Rights Act.  Jim crow laws mandated "Racial segregation" (Wikipedia). This was a legalized segregation between black and whites. The lynching in the south and torture of blacks in the Jim crow south were "Religious rituals" (Jamelle Bouie).
