I chose this video because I believe it’s important to understand how oil is consumed in our economy so the process of cutting back on oil to conserve it is made easier. Without understanding how oil is consumed in our economy, making cuts will be difficult since we don’t know what consumes the most oil and what consumes the least amount of oil.  

I chose this video because in an oil crisis there is not enough supply to match the demand, and I believe that understanding how oil is made will help with understanding why countries cannot make and export more oil. As well with understanding how oil is made could potentially lead people to appreciate the oil since it has a complex production process. 

I chose this video because when it comes to understanding how oil affects the economy, knowing what to do financially with investing can lead to huge profits after the crisis is over. Certain oil companies will come back stronger after the crisis and other companies, and knowing which ones are going to come back stronger is useful information when it comes to investing. 

I chose this video because although having a shortage of oil in an oil crisis does not mean that oil cannot go bad, and knowing how to dispose of it properly and safely is important. Oil can also be found in a condition where it is unsafe to export and use, which knowing how to dispose of it properly keeps the people and environment around us safe. 

I decided to use this website because it demonstrates the oil crises that have happened in the past. Learning about how these crises occurred in the past will help us learn about why current and future oil crises will happen. As well, learning about how they occur could help in identifying when the next oil crisis is about to occur, allowing us to be more prepared and get things planned out.    

I chose this website because it illustrates that even though Canada has its own oil mine in Alberta, our country depends on other countries for oil, since our oil consumption is higher than our oil production. 

I chose this website because eventually in some point in time the oil supply in the world will run out. In order to avoid this, preventing as much oil consumption as possible is key since major machines like planes and transport trucks need oil. By reducing consumption it allows us to have more oil for these major machines, which transport the things we need as a country.  

I chose this website because it shows how oil is transported in, out, and within Canada. Understanding how oil is transported allows us to grasp how much oil can move, how fast, and identify potential problems that may occur while transporting oil that may cause an oil crisis.   

2) A real life example of the oil crisis is what the world is experiencing right now with high gas prices, crazy inflation, which all came after lock down since we all want to travel everywhere. 

3) If I were to pass this information on to someone else I would think the most important thing to tell them is the history of why oil crises happen. By doing this it will allow them to understand what causes an oil crisis and how to become prepared in the event an oil crisis breaks out.
