We see this everyday, when a man earns more money than a woman, he will become dominant at home, and it will make women do household jobs alone, which in turn will make them quit the job. This, as a result of which they cannot success in the workplace, they will have to be staying at home, making their kids to think that when they grow up the man is the one that has a job, and the woman is just the housewife that cleans and feed them. I think that when we grow up we need to teach our children from a young age about gender equality. In that way, we can avoid gender inequality some years later, and we will have a better society than we do today.

ACTIONS TO PROMOTE A POSITIVE CHANGE TOWARDS GENDER EQUALITY IN THE HOUSEHOLD:

1. both parents take care of the kids (take them to school, to afternoon classes)

2. ⁠eat together as a family and everyone needs to help (all of the members in the family needs to cook, put the table)

3. ⁠teach kids about the gender equality and show them how to treat everyone the same

4. ⁠learn to control how we talk to everyone, be respectful and be concerned of what we say

5. ⁠support women’s if they want to work, they have the capacity to work and give money to the family

1. Gender inequality remains an ongoing problem nowadays, and it is something that needs to be solved as soon as possible. We need to talk more about how women face challenges.

2. Yes, unfortunately. Daily we see that women have to work harder to get a higher paying job than a man that does a third of work than a woman. I think that for our home is not a problem, because in the house only my kids and I (mom) live. My little son is just a baby and he doesn’t understand very well that there is a lot of inequality.

3. Yes, I could help by doing all of my chores that my parents tell me, and obeying them, so I could be making a big difference and they don’t have to worry about it.
