Left Behind- James and his crew left a graffitied rock behind on Somerset Island. Left Behind impact- It indicated that they were there and for future voyages to find it and make notes about it for today. Left Behind connection- today when we discover new planets and our rovers travel to them they will run out of energy or be destroyed and we leave them there. In the future where we are capable of traveling to the planets, we will find the ancient rovers, relative to the time, and will be blessed with old information.

Took- They took back knowledge about the north and south poles. Took impact- without them we would maybe have different information or no information about the poles and have no idea Antarctica is there. Took connection- Today when we discover anything we want to keep track of it and attain all of its knowledge. We then collect more information over time

Explore's View- "After the four expeditions and the discovery of the North pole, one year later he was promoted to captain and would journey on more voyages soon.” This show signs how well versed he was in sailing the arctic and antarctic. It would put him in a higher position with heavier decisions.

Outsider's View- This is a picture of a graffitied rock made by the crew of the ship. The rock would give future explorers a “time stamp” of when the crew was there.
