We need to find a way to balance using technology in class and for educational purposes. We can start of by effective parent and learner communication, keep parents informed about the screen time activities and their educational value, so they can reinforce the importance of responsible screen usage at home. To ensure a balance in screen time usage.
The teacher can also provide materials for drawing, painting, and crafting, allowing students to express themselves creatively through hands-on projects.

The teacher could implement fun and easy activities to control screen time like making an activity where the children can plan for things, they would like to do in place of screen time and draw it on the 'Picture It on Television' handout. This will give them excitement about creating their own lesson for the day and they will participate easily. The teacher can use games to create lessons without using computers like 'Watch the Catch' where she can use a beach ball that has names of different animals on each color section so that when a child catches the ball, they get to imitate the movement and sound of the corresponding animal this will also strengthen the learner's mobility.

A carefully curated list of curriculum-aligned educational websites, applications, and resources can be assembled to help teachers identify relevant web content for their lessons which will help improve learner engagement during screen time. The teacher can also make use of a "Screen Time Roulette" wheel with various time restrictions. The amount of screen time allocated to students each day is decided by spinning the wheel. This brings an element of surprise into the classroom.
The teacher also needs to specify and establish clear rules for behaviour during screen time and ensure that the children are aware of the expectations and consequences for misbehaviour.
