Presentation: Make your own ecology, cultural sustainability and participation in Craft Cubed festival, 2016

Abstract
From fashion to interior design, to ancient artefacts, medieval tapestry and contemporary mixed media handcrafts are everywhere in art. Yet, due to their perceived femininity, and complex merging of art, leisure and functionality these art forms are often cast aside as minor characters in world of fine art. As a result, the craft arts ecology and associated industries have been largely unnoticed and unmeasured in Victoria, despite their rapid growth in recent years. This project aimed to look at this ecology, and how it was serviced by the Craft Cubed festival 2016.
