I believe that meditation is effective. I have tried meditation before through guided imagery, as well as yoga. I believe that meditation on one hand gives you an excuse to take time to relax and be at peace with yourself. Meditation in the form of yoga on the other hand is even better because it is physical activity but in such a way that is calming, and relaxing even though you're exerting yourself.

In my opinion, being able to meditate depends on the person. For me, ive tried once and it didn't go as well as i wanted it to. I find myself to be the type of person to get distracted very easily and lose track of what im doing. My friend is a very open minded guy and i know that whenever he gets frustrated or is just in a bad mood, he can sit down and meditate and then after be much calmer than before. From what ive seen from other people, meditating can be an extremely relieving art.

I have tried meditation several times in the past and if I noticed it was much less effective when I was too anxious to be fully focused. When I was able to think clearly and keep my mind in a meditated state, I found that it had resulted in strong feelings of relaxation and calmness. I would definitely recommend meditation to everyone. It's great for some people but difficult for others but you never know until you try!

I firmly believe that meditation works. Meditation is perhaps the essential instrument to harness the power of thought, cultivate more peace, simplicity and happiness. Learning to train the brain and concentrate our attention is vital to thriving and developing peak performance in any endeavour. By daily practicing meditation, you will become a calmer person. There will be a mental serenity in every task you perform. Each day you will have a different experience so never think about the day gone. Today’s life is full of stress, which further affects our day to day activities. Meditation aids in reducing weight by affecting your nervous system. Meditation decreases the production of importance related to hormones like cortisol and increases the production of useful chemicals like serotonin. Meditation provides emotional stability. For me, meditation works as it calms me down from anxiety and depression and this practice offers more emotional stability.

It is not good for your mental health to have your head spinning and being stressed out all the time. I enjoy meditating, usually at the end of the day. It can be difficult, I overthink a lot and I have intrusive thoughts, so it takes awhile to get into it.

I believe that meditation is very beneficial because it decreases metabolism, lowers blood pressure, and improves breathing. All of these benefits will help control anxiety and stress. Meditation also enhances self-awareness because it helps you understand a stronger version of yourself. Overall, meditation helps people remain calm and collected in troublesome times causing them to have a gentler approach to any problems they might face. I meditate at least once a day, in the morning or the evening. I meditate because I get anxious really fast, and by taking 10-30 minutes out of my day to just breathe, I find it refreshing and calming. I highly recommend trying meditation because I have found that after I meditate I have a better mindset for reaching my goals.

I believe that when done right, meditation can be very effective. It gives people some time to take a breath and relax, when they might have had a stressful or busy day. Meditation has benefits such as reducing blood pressure, stress, anxiety, and helping with sleep problems. For me I find it hard to clear my thoughts easily. Though when I can actually get focused, I find that meditation is very effective. It helps me feel calm and less frantic. I have done more yoga then actually sit down and meditate, and it's really enjoyable. After a long, busy day at school I find it really nice to clear my head and just be mindful of my body and surroundings by doing some sort of meditation. I think that meditation can take some patience and practice, but I know it can be really rewarding.

I've tried meditation in the past many times. While I understand and recognize the importance of winding down and taking things slow for a few minutes meditation has always been, at least to me. The least effective way. I find it's much more beneficial for me to do something else like go dance around my room or sit and listen to music, then to meditate. I will still do it from time to time if it's at some sort of event but on my personal time I just try to make a schedule that revolves around my life in a way that negates such a need. I do this by going to sleep on time, keeping myself busy but not too busy and by changing up my life in small ways every few months so that things do not get too stale.

I have briefly meditated before in some classes and it definitely puts me at peace and makes me feel light and like weight gets lifted off my shoulders for that brief amount of time. I don’t o it on my own time because I just never get around to it so I don’t know the long term effects of meditation but I can imagine that it is probably really good for your mental health and mindfulness to take a few minutes to just breathe and clear out all of your thoughts and just be.

This is a great skill to learn, because it can help you come face to face with certain problems, and help you understand them. It can be nice to use meditation in a way to just relax and let thoughts come and go. This can be difficult for some, but i believe that anybody can do it; it can be very fulfilling.

Using meditation is effective in many ways, it helps relax your body and brain as well as helping you gain better focus. I overthink a lot and my mind is always buzzing with thoughts so using meditation is a great tool and I think everyone should try it once.

The only experience I have with meditation is roughly from around five years ago in elementary school, when my grade seven class decided to experiment with daily meditation to help us focus in class. At the time meditation never really worked for me, I was either too busy thinking about out of school activities, or just looking around waiting until the meditation time was over. However now that I’m a little older, I can recognize that meditating can potentially improve things for me in my daily life if I were to pick it up again and take it seriously. Again, I have not meditated in years, but from my understanding, meditation can either remove any stress or anxiety you were feeling, clear your mind, relax your brain and body, and just help you focus on anything in general. I think I’m definitely going to try to pick up meditating again in my day to day schedule to help me focus on school.

Meditation is definitely something you can get better at with experience. I've never gotten really into it because I've haven't really had the need to. I've never struggled with mental health problems or managing my emotions. I've always been able to clear my head just enough so that I don't feel stressed and can finish my day. Good or bad, I was kinda just the same afterwards. Maybe it was Because I was too impatient or not relaxed enough. However, I would gladly try it again with someone else maybe a professional until I make a final opinion.

I think meditation is more effective the more it is practiced. From what I've noticed from people who talk about meditation and my own experiences, it takes a certain headspace to enter an altered state of consciousness. Which is something someone with a busy brain would struggle to obtain without throrough research and practice. The few times I have tried meditation, I found it to be very helpful with calming down and clearing my head. So if someone were to use meditation as a strategy to calm their mind I would say it's highly effective.

I strongly believe that meditation is effective. I have always held myself to really high standards and put a lot of pressure on myself by doing that. Yoga and meditation have undoubtedly helped me to manage with this pressure. I, along with other people I know use meditation as a form of release in their everyday life to help them find a restoration of balance to continue on. It is calming and good for your physical, along with your mental health to do some meditation every once in a while. Meditation could be a part of your everyday schedule, or a few times a week, month, or year. It all depends on when you decide you want to do it. I started using meditation in probably around the 6th grade and have grown more, and more fond of it over time. It started out as a way to calm myself the night before a dance competition. It was suggested by a couple of my teachers who found it genuinely effective for them. I now do it while I'm holding yoga poses/stretching a couple times a week. I find it effective in the way that it gets me in a positive and clear mind space, where I can reflect on myself and the world going on around me. It also allows me to find my cool so I can stop thinking about stressful ideas that are overtaking my thoughts, or anything else I need a break from. Meditation is a skill that may come with time and consideration into perspective. I think many dismay meditation as being effective because of their unwillingness to let go and just stop for a minute, which in some cases means the maturity growth.

Meditating daily can help with attention, memory and can also build your ability to redirect and maintain focus. I tried meditation a few times and it was nice to just sit and breathe. When I was meditating I tried to have a blank mind and focused on my breathing. I think it works decently well like if you're super angry or simply just not having a good day and are upset about something, but for me I get distracted and bored easily so it doesn't really stick. I try though to use it to move my focus onto something more positive and to try to stop thinking about the negatives and what is bothering me. I do think, if you are skeptical about meditation, you need to have an open mind about it. I used to be super unsure and didn't believe it worked but it sometimes actually calms me down, but only for a short period of time.

My mother meditates and she always recommends I do the same. Meditation seems to provide a peace of mind to individuals that execute it properly. It seems to benefit not only spiritually but also physically. Stress relief is a result of executing meditation properly which in turn can result in a more stable mind. The benefits of meditation definitely tempt me to try and adapt it as a habit thus it has led me to currently trying to do so everyday in order to better my life.

I have tried meditation in the past but I was never able to make it a habit nor did I truly know the health benefits it could provide me. Unfortunately, I gave up trying eventually because I just didn’t understand how it could possibly impact my life on a large scale. Now, I know how wrong Iam. I know if I continue to incorporate meditation into my life, it will not only provide me a routine but also a more stable state of mind. I will be more emotionally intelligent not only for myself but also for the people around me. Meditation will both improve my individual life as well as my social life.

Granted my knowledge on the many physical effects of meditation is limited, I do think meditation can be effective. The practice often requires a focus on breathing and physical sensation. This create a greater awareness, and level on control when it comes to breathing. Having control and being alert about this can aid in coping with anxiety, depending on the situation. It could also help with focus, as it demands a rather high level, as well as patience. As a result, some people who meditate claim to be much happier and productive throughout their day.

I do meditate from time to time. At first, I was thinking it would give me supernatural powers, surreal awareness, make me exponentially wiser, or something like that, but it didn't. Instead, meditation gave me a break. It's not too spiritual but for me the fact is my head thinks way too much. People, media, school, and just random worries fill my head up and some weeks persist to give me constant headaches. Sometimes, not often, I just close my eyes, feel the surrounding air and play with the muscles in my brain for 15 minutes. I don't know if it makes me more productive, but sometimes I feel like I should do it.

I've tried to meditate but I honestly don't believe it's for me. I might try to do it more but I just don't have the time or control for it. I think meditating is such a strong skill to have, being able to control your body and go into a relaxed state. I learned about Thich Quang Due, a Mahayana Buddhist Monk who lit himself on fire and sat their mediating while he was burning. To protest against their government. I think this is so crazy, he was able to sit there like he was totally fine. All because he was able to put his body into a state of relaxation.

I do believe that meditation is effective. I do it quite frequently and it is almost like an outer body experience. My step mom leads yoga classes and she has taught me how to slow down your breathing, and put your body in a state of relaxed nature, and it is very enjoyable. I mediate whenever I feel stressed or anxious and it helps me bring myself back a step.

I do believe that meditation is an effective way to relax. I have tried meditating myself and I quite like it. I often have trouble falling asleep, especially if there’s something on my mind that I’m worried about. I’ve found that meditating before going to bed does help me to relax and distance myself from any thoughts that would otherwise keep me up. Additionally, if I ever feel overwhelmed I find that meditating is also an effective way to help me calm down. Focusing on a single object, or even just my own breathing, is very soothing and greatly helps me control all the swirling thoughts that sometimes overwhelm me if I’m feeling particularly stressed or anxious.

I believe that meditation to be quite effective but it really depends on what type of person you are and what type of meditation you use. I use meditations before I go to sleep every night but depending on how I am feeling or how my day went will determine what type of meditation I will use. I have a hard time focusing on words and guided meditations often just frustrate me so I stick to music meditations. The meditations are helpful and effective for me because I have trouble sleeping.

In my opinion meditation has a placebo effect. If you believe it will do something then it will be effective but if you think that it does nothing then it will not be effective. I personally don't like meditation because I don't like sitting in silence for an extended period of time, If I want to relax I would rather listen to music or just go to sleep. But because of this and my perception that mediation does not work if I were to attempt to meditate it would not work and I would just get bored and quit.

I believe meditation can be effective with practice. I haven't necessarily tried meditating, but have done similar things in yoga at school. l haven't tried to meditate on my own, because I feel like I don't have enough time for it. I would like to start getting into the habit of meditating in the mornings or gradually working it into my routine. I read more about mediating on headspace, which states meditating is a skill. Like any other skill meditating takes time and practice to become successful, and for you to feel comfortable with it. Not only is meditation relaxing, but meditation helps you to better understand and observe your thoughts and feelings.
